Total waste of time dealing with this company. Ive been trying to get a quote for at least a month. Then they set an appointment only to cancel and push the date further away. No calls, no interaction. In my opinion you may want to search for other more reliable options.Review from Christina B

In 2016, the previous owners of our home had remodeled a shower with plastic panels that looked like white tile. We purchased the home 3 years ago and noticed that the shower floor had no support near the drain, so the floor flexed a lot when you stepped on it. We assumed an unlicensed Florida "handyman" did a lousy job and we would have to replace this if it failed. Fast forward 2 years, and the walls outside of the shower developed water damage. Shortly after, the plastic floor cracked in the area that had no support under it, so it was time to replace the damaged floor. I cut out the plastic floor and noticed 4 problems: 1) all of the edges showed water damage where the floor connected to the wall, 2) the shower drain was not piped to the drain line - instead, there was just caulk filling in the gap in the floor between drain and the sewer pipe, 3) the shower 'pan' was not a lined, cement pan, but just a sheet of cement wall board glued to the slab underneath, and 4) there was NO waterproofing at all...nothing to prevent water from exfiltrating in the event of a leak. While removing the plastic panels, I discovered a couple of Re-Bath stickers which prompted me to contact them about this failed installation. Their answers were: 1) we only warranty work to original owner, 2) that's how we used to do the piping, but we don't do it that way any more (wonder why?), and 3) the previous owner should have told them that there was a problem (but the problem was hidden under the plastic, so how would they know?). We've since had a plumber install a proper waterproof pan and connect the plumbing correctly. While here, he noted that the previous installation was leaking considerably around the caulked drain and he had never seen such a poor job of shower floor installation. We are now installing a tile and glass shower that won't leak, should last many years, all at a price much lower than Re-Bath reportedly charged for this failed installation.Review from Gary E

Very dissatisfied with the service rendered. Work was allegedly back by a life-time warranty, yet four calls requesting a supervisor come out and inspect the problems have gone unanswered. Grout in floor tiles was done a second time and yet gaps are visible. Now we have a crack developing in the wall where the made a built-in closet. Came out to regrout the floor once, yet the gaps still exist in places. Company was quick enough to accept the last payment in full but have since ignored our calls for corrective action. The overall cost was rather high, but we went ahead with the renovation based on their warranty. We furnished the flooring, adhesive and grout, not to mention the vanity and all hardware. Considering what we furnished, we should have been Leary of the cost. I would seriously consider another company before doing business with this specific company.Re-Bath of Mid-Florida Response

After repeated attempts, we finally complained to *****, who subcontracts BBB. We immediately received a call, and a corrective action date was established on 16 Nov. BBB's representative arrived on time and took the actions necessary to correct the discrepancies. One was the wrong grout used for the new floor tiles.
As of this date, the discrepancies have been resolved to our satisfaction.Review from Denise Z

I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with services rendered by Re-Bath of Mid-Florida. The sales representative was awesome - she spent a lot of time reviewing materials used, helping me choose colors and styles, installation process and amount of time to do the job. There was no pressure and I felt I was making the best choice by hiring Re-Bath to remodel my bathroom. I had to give 1/2 of total price ($12,000) for a deposit. I was told there would be approximately a 15 week delay due to material shortage, however, I felt it was important to get a good job and not someone to rush. Well, it turns out I had a health issue that required more money than I had on hand so I called and inquired about getting the job done asap, as I could have used the money instead of having it tied up in the deposit. Re-Bath said materials were ready for installation and could be done the following week. Initially, the job was to be started and completed by a 2 man team in 3 days. I was pleased with this as I did not want different workers entering my home for a lengthy period. The 1st day only 1 worker showed up, an hour late. He explained the regular worker was delayed on another job. The 2nd day, another worker showed up, again 1 hour late. He said due to being short handed, he would do the job himself. He was quite slow and sort of messy. He accomplished very little that day. When I asked if he was coming back the next day, he informed me he did not work on weekends. We agreed to have him come back on Tuesday. Well, the job went down hill quickly. He forgot to shut the water off when he took out old toilet to replace new toilet and flooded my bathroom. He put in the wrong color border, which had to be replaced, he picked up the wrong shower door track and hardware, which delayed the work for another 3 days. He was not able to balance the mirrored medicine cabinet, which I had to help him install. The shower leaked and I had to have an appointment 4 other times to have the leak caulked and sealed. I was totally disappointed by this time - here it was 4 weeks later and my bathroom was still not completed to my satisfaction. I was given a $200 credit for my inconvenience. Three weeks later, I noticed the light bar rings were starting to rust and corrode. After several phone calls and a couple of weeks, another worker came to take rings out to have them powder coated. I also asked it a hole can be patched and a topper placed on top of the cabinet so the wires were not exposed. The worker assured me these requests were completed. After checking, I realized he patched a nail hole and not the hole where the wires were coming through, which is about 5" in diameter. I wanted this hole patched as to prevent critters entering as it was open to the outside wall. The worker cut a piece of flimsy hard plastic to put over the cabinet opening, which was cut too short and being as light as it is, it keeps falling into the cabinet opening. I ended up filling the hole with foam and sealing with duck tape. I had a board cut to size to fit above the cabinet. I can't understand why professional workers could not do the same, considering I am a 74 year old woman. I am totally disappointed in the service, workmanship and lies this company provided. I would not recommend them. I feel I overpaid for less than quality workmanship. I gave up calling them as I was just disgusted and upset, although, I feel I deserve another credit for all the new aggravation and upsets.Re-Bath of Mid-Florida Response

Hello Denise,
I am sorry to hear the installation process was less than satisfactory, we strive here to make sure everyone of our customers are happy with their finished product. First off, we would like to apologize for the inconsistency of installers, it has been a tough year trying to keep everyone healthy and safe. I have gone back to check the notes on your job and it does look like we made more trips out to your residence than we would have liked, but it also does look like there is a customer satisfaction sign off sheet in there as well. It looks like at one point you were satisfied with the work, but you do have a lifetime warranty on your bathroom, so please, if there is anything else we can do, please do not hesitate to contact us here at the office and we can set you up with a service ticket to correct any of your concerns. 407-926-1811 or email at [email protected].
