On February 29, 2024, the removal of the ceiling of a master bathroom began. The ceiling needed to be replaced due to various water leaks caused by Hurricane **** in 2017.Hurricane winds caused roof damage. Many roofing tiles were removed. When drywall in the bathroom was recently removed months ago, it exposed the work ethic of Alden Contracting and Services. Currently, there are many screws in the plywood in the attic that I can visibly see. Those screws should have been properly drilled into the studs and/or frame of the house. By not applying proper drilling *** nailing techniques, the workers created a hazard to anyone going inside the attic of my home and can get hurt. Other problems: The damaged firewall remains damaged. Very thin styrofoam pieces were used as insulation towards the edges of the roof. These pieces were very discolored on one side due to constant extreme natural heat from the Sun. Additional damaged plywood underneath the new tiles also remains. These problems affect my home's value. It does not make sense to me for any roofing company to replace damaged roofing tiles and leave damaged plywood underneath. At that time, when Alden Contracting and Services finished their work, I had the impression that they corrected the damages. How mistaken I was!Additional notes about Alden Contracting and Services: In the past, when the workers were replacing the tiles, a complaint was filed because many roofing nails were left on the patio. One nail punctured my shoe. Afterwards, another complaint was filed after the roofing tiles were all replaced because there were still water leaks from the heavy rains carried by strong winds. When the workers completed the job, at that specific time, a male from their company threw a collection of nails underneath the back tires of my mother's vehicle. I am grateful that my God Jehovah, the TRUE God of Justice, alerted me to these bad practices and is encouraging me to file this official complaint.
