Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/18) */ Contact Name and Title: Stephen W. *****. MGRM Contact Phone: 407 257-6905 Contact Email: [email protected] I am a member with an A+ rating with the BBB and in the 35 years in business I have never received a complaint from someone I have never met. I have never heard of Minneola Fl. This complaint goes back to 2021 and I tried to return a call from Mr *****'office several months ago to try to find out who he did business with and the name of the person who represented me. I never got a return call. All I am looking for is a copy of a written and signed contract and a copy of the cancelled check. Last year I was too busy to leave the local Orlando area and some contractors asked for any out of area leads. I trusted that these contractors were upfront and honest. If this was the case I will have my attorney locate and I will prosecute the person who never did any work on the property.,implicating me in the scam I did write checks to all my subs and one may have slipped through the cracks. If this is the case I will check last years books and go after the scammer who used my company name to extort money from the complainant. If this was the case I will immediately refund the $4000.00. If I find out that the scammer has the complainants funds I will have my attorney send a notice of prosecution if funds are not immediately refunded. One way or the other the money will be refunded in short order. Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/06/20) */ ***Document Attached*** Between my assistant and myself, we have spoke to Steve ***** at least 5 times over the last few months. We signed a $4000.00 check (#****). We will be attaching emails and a copy of check to back up our complaint, which was signed and cashed under General Contracting and Remodeling, LLC. Therefore, GCR, LLC. owes us $4000.00. We have written 8 emails to Joseph (with CC copies to Steve ***** starting on December 10, 2021.) We do not understand how he claims not to know about this job. When we spoke with him, he knew exactly about this job and he knew the area of Minneola, FL. So, it is very confusing to find any logic in the response by Steve *****. We sent him a copy of the check at his request on May 10th, 2022. Also, about 4 weeks ago, Steve ***** called us and said that he was a former police officer and also a lawyer, which was rather strange to us. He said that he was following through and would make the $4000.00 payment which we still have no received. This company owes us $4000.00, they are not reliable and we're asking for a $200.00 addition for the delay, filing complaints, all of the emails, interest lost and none performance of the work that they promised to do. The contractor Joseph, sent us an email stating that the quotation is attached which he never sent, we replied multiple times for that quotation, status of work and no response. The final statement is promising yet, it has been almost 7 months where we have been promised multiple times returned of our monies and it just seems as if he wants to clear his own A+ rating with you and he still is not making this right with a paid customer. We would hope that you do not close this file until our payment has been reimbursed. Attached are emails we have sent to Steve ***** and Joseph (whom he referred us to for this work) and the check that we wrote to General Contracting and Remodeling, LLC. which was cashed the same day it was written. We did not find Joseph, Steve ***** told us that Joseph was his contractor that worked on screened enclosures, Steve gave us Josephs contact information, which then we called and set up for Joseph to come to our home - so Steve ***** was well aware of what was going on. Confirm receipt of this email. ****** ***** Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/06/30) */ I am filing my response to the fraudulent claim against my company. I have never spoken to the complainant this year or his assistant except once in the past 7 months. I did relay a message that the complainant ***** wanted to speak to Joseph L****, the contractor The Complainant met with.I was not involved in any of the negotiations . I had broken all communication with the contractor Joseph L*** ***** Constructors. in January of this year.He was writing contracts under my name and depositing money in his account. I did not find a deposit for the $4000.00 in question and the COMPLAINANT ***** HAS NOT FURNISHED A CANCELLED CHECK TO PROVE HIS ALLEGATION ONLY A CHECK THAT DID NOT GO THROUGH THE BANKING SYSTEM.AND NOT AN ENDORSED CHECK. THE COMPLAINANT ***** DOES NOT HAVE A SIGNED CONTRACT TO PROVE ANY AGREEMENT INVOLVING MY COMPANY AND THIS IS MANDATORY IN ANY STATE. THE COMPLAINANT GOES ON WITH IRRELEVANT FICTION THAT HAS NO BEARING ON HIS REFUSING TO FURNISH DOCUMENTS FROM HIS MEETING WITH JOSEPH L***. I ALREADY AM PURSUING L*** FOR THIS AND OTHER ACTS OF FRAUD AGAINST ME AND MY COMPANY I NEVER. CALLED COMPLAINANT ***** TO TELL HIM I WAS FORMER LAW INFORCEMENT OR LAWYER. THIS IS A BLATANT DISGUSTING FALSE STATEMENT COMING FROM A MAN WHO COULD NOT SPELL MY COMPANY NAME CORRECTLY. THIS MAN IS PROVING HE IS ROCK BOTTOM AND FABRICATING FALSE STATEMENTS .ANOTHER BLATANTLY FALSE STATEMENT IS THE EMAIL CC FICTION.. I NEVER RECEIVED ONE EMAIL FROM ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THE ***** PEOPLE. THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT THAT THERE IS AN UNDERSCORE BETWEEN MY FIRST AND LAST NAME! I NEVER RECEIVED ANY EMAILS...EVER!!! I AM NOT GOING TO WASTE ANY MORE TIME GOING AFTER WHO IS OBVIOUSLY TRYING TO PLAY THE BETTER. BUSINESS BUREAU AS HIS PAWN. I REALLY FEEL SORRY FOR THIS MAN SO THEREFORE I WILL GET A CHECK BEFORE I GO UP NORTH FOR THE 4TH AND I AM GOING TO PUT A MEMO ON THE CASHIERS CHECK THAT I RESERVE THE RIIGHTS TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST HIM IF I DON'T GET A REAL CHECK WITH AN ENDORSEMENT SO I CAN TRACK THE MONEY. THE CHECK I SEND WILL BE FOR THE AMOUNT OF $4200.00 I WILL DEAL WITH JOSEPH L***
