Multiple problems, based on lies, empty promises, and failure to deliver: 1. Commenced the masonry work without registering with the City of Palm Coast and obtaining the work permit. 2. Delivered defective bricks: cracked, not straight ages, not uniform pale color of the bricks (indicates poor bricks quality). After having arguments with them, they replaced these bricks with regular quality bricks on the next day. 3. The masonry work was performed on the property spot that is not permitted to be built on, as per the Buildings Department's 7.5 ft offset rule from a side property line. 4. The partially performed masonry work was extremely poor quality: not leveled bricks, holes and gaps all over in between bricks, and between concrete blocks - I noticed this while checking next morning, so I called them, texted photos from the work site, asked if they have permit with the City of Palm Coast for the work they started. No permit filed. The work was stopped from continuing in this manner. On next week, the guys who were performing the concrete slab and clay bricks install, came and demolished the bricks they built. Concrete slab was NOT demolished. This left me with the mess of concrete blocks, concrete in place, and all different sizes of broken concrete and bricks pieces all over the construction site. 5. As it appeared to be, neither the two company owners, nor the guys they sent to do the job, had ANY masonry work background: NO concrete work permit, NO training, NO practical experience, NO even basic masonry work knowledge. 6. I disputed the 50% downpayment with my credit card company. But I still left with the concrete and concrete blocks mess done illegally, without the City permit, on the illegal spot. 7. They threatening me with the law suit after they received the credit dispute from my credit card company. P.S. I am a New York State licensed Civil Engineer.
