On October 30, 2021 I went into contract with Yvette from Granite Quartz Center to have my countertops installed. The total amount was 2,425.00. On November 1, 2021, I Zelled ( bank transfer) 1, 212.00 to Yvette. I was told the install would be done on December 1, 2021. On November 4, 2021, I received a text from Yvette stating the install would be December 1, 2021. On 12/1/21 no one showed up. I began texting and emailing Yvette to no avail. I had a plumber on standby the whole day to reconnect all the hoses. For the next four days I could not reach anyone. I even went to the address on the invoice and it was closed. I reached out to the contractor who brought Yvette's company into my home and he was able to get someone and was told the countertops would be installed on 12/6/21. He was told the countertops were in but I had to wait until 12/6/21. I had family from out state visiting for Thanksgiving. I had no where for them to sit and eat. I had no sink. I could not use the dishwasher. I am a senior citizen and felt I was taken advantage of. I had to search for the owner, Yvette and still have not heard from her. However I did receive and invoice for the balance of 1,212.00 from someone named Mario through email, who I have never met. I asked for a reduction in the balance because the contract was broken. He offered to reduce the amount by 100.00, I told him that was not sufficient. He made another offer of 200.00 as a final offer and said if I did not accept it he would put a lien on my home and take me to court. For all the anguish and stress I went through having family here at my home and not being able to serve them and having to search central Florida to find the Yvette to install my countertops I feel I deserve a larger reduction than what was offered. I have text messages, emails, proof that I paid the deposit, call logs on my many attempts at locating her to prove everything I am saying.Business response
