On June 28 I contacted the owner of Spartan Trade Solutions, LLC for an estimate on replacing the sliding doors to the patio with French Doors. I did receive a price: $8,500.00. I told the man that I want to wait until the two huge oaks in the yard were removed. I had a tree service scheduled, and the cost is $4,300 to remove the trees with one stump ground and the other left table height because it is too close to the hot tub which will have to be moved to grind that stump. The owner of Spartan stated he could do the very same for $3,700.00...two oaks removed, one stump gound and the other left for another project. While on the job I added $300.00 to remove the bushes in the front of the home. That work was done. The first payment was made on July 7...but the owner stated that it did not go through. So we did it again and it went through. On July 20 I was informed that the other payment ALSO went through. He is paid in full yet the job remains unfinished. I have two 15' oaks still in the ground. He told me he has other jobs now and cannot return for 2 weeks to finish the work. It has been 10 business days of hauling debris off my yard. He feels he lost money on the job as he underestimated the work. Now he claims that stump grinding was NEVER part of the estimate. Yes, yes it was since he was matching the quote from another Tree Service. He has yelled at me a few times and has made me and my daughter uncomfortable. He also tries to convince me that I was undecided on what I wanted. I knew from the start what I wanted. Yes, I did entertain some of his suggestions for future work which he hoped to perform. Yet I do not want the trees sculpted. I want the roots to stop damaging my home!

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/02) */ You are absolutely wrong. No company wanted to take the risk of cutting these trees. You couldn't get a lift into your back yard. The last company you used left the tree stump as well in your front yard. You liked the wood stumps for flower and decoration purposes, that is what YOU said. So we hired an experienced climber who specializes in dangerous drops,to accompany us on your project. From the very start we told you we could cut the trees down to ground level. It was a low price for a single Mom. That had trees that could injure the home and/or the home owner during a strong storm. We have picture's of your project. For $3500 it was an amazing deal of a life time. Our agreement with you was, that once the tree was down to ground level, we could come up with a plan to kill it and try to insure stopping any further root growth from doing any further damage. Cutting the Tree down to the height of the hot tub wasn't mentioned until after a discussion about turning your left over wood into a bar around your hot tub. Talks of sculptures was during the first stage of branch removal. But your words was I just can't decide which one I want. The debris from the trees needed to be removed before the rest of your tree trunk was cut down. So you said you would have an answer by the time we had it up. Your two trees was extremly hard drops. The branches extended over your roof to the peak around your chimney and over solar panels. Also we dropped thousands off pounds of wood with precision around your home and hot tub, with a fence only feet away. A job that you said more than one tree company didnt want. These trees was massive. We are not a tree company that only does trees. We do it all when it comes to home improvements. And, what we dont do directly we help assist customers to trusted companies and walk with the customer side by side to insure quality until the project is complete. Our Spartan code is we will die before leaving a job not done right. And we took on your project with pride and dignity. We did everything we said we would do all the way up to the moment you said "dont come back over not getting a free stump removal." By law we cant just come back to your home and cut the trees the rest of the way down anyways after YOU say font come. That comment by You stops your contract with us right there. That was your decision. You was very hostile to the owner and other employees. We was on the way there the day you out of nowhere said you wanted the tree stump grinded down and the other one, hot tub height. Going against the agreement of cutting them to the ground. After we told you that we would cut the one to hot tub height but not give away a stump grind because it was not part of the agreement, you told us to not come back. You wanted alot of the wood, for your fire place. So we cut and supplied you with fire place sized wood. Here's photos of how much tree we dropped to the ground before you stopped us. You was yelling over the phone. Not one person on our staff yelled at you. And you was talking with the owner the day you said don't come. After he told you he would not approve of it. We would love to finish cutting your trees level to the ground as that was our plan from the beginning. But as a company, we can not sustain business if we do work for free. So we will not agree to grind your stump down,as that was not part of the agreement. And with the amount of work we gave you already and our investments on dump fees, climber and equipment fees. We will not be issuing you a refund of any sort. We was doing our part as a company. You stop the completion of your project. We as a company, have never had a complaint. Your the very first in the years we have been in business. We are willing to do our part.As we hope you are willing to do yours. It's a pleasure serving all of our customers. As we are a company ran by a family that.... builds, removes and repairs homes for families. God Bless.
