On November 19, 2016, I paid Gilco roofing $4, 986 (+ $713.00 to replace wood) to put a new roof on my home. The roof has a five year workmanship warranty. Beginning in Jan., 2020, the roof started leaking over two of my kitchen windows with brown water running inside the window and onto my kitchen floor. I contacted Larry, the owner, in early January and he sent a repair man to my home to fix the leak. I was told rusted nails were causing the problem and it was resealed. However, in July, 2020, the kitchen window was again leaking. A repair man, Jeremy, came to my house to fix the kitchen window. Shingles were replaced and we have had no further issues with that window. In September, 2020, I again had to contact Larry concerning a leak with the roof over the bedroom window. It leaked exactly as the kitchen window had. Jeremy came to repair the leak in September and November, 2020. Again, he said it was rusty nails and he resealed the area over the window on both occasions. All seemed well until June, 2021, when the window started leaking again. I contacted Larry and after two weeks, I never heard back so I contacted him again. He said Jeremy would be out on June 28th; however, on July 9th, water was again running down the window. Larry sent Jeremy out again. This time, Jeremy was told to run water all over the top of the window to "see if he could find the leak." Jeremy was adamant the leak was not coming from the roof, but from the window. However, after running water over it for more than 15 minutes, there was no leak from the window. Jeremy asked me to take a video of the leak the next time it happened and send it to him and Larry so they could try to figure out what was happening. I sent a video on Nov. 8th, at 8:53 a.m. to both Larry and Jeremy. At 12:00 p.m. I texted Larry again as I hadn't heard. I received a text message from Larry saying, "I have your text. Out of commission for a few days." I said, "Ok, don't forget about me." I have never heard back!
