I took my 03 ***** Tahoe to ***** because my security light wouldn't go off and my truck wouldn't crank. I spoke with ***** at Bartow Stingray Chevrolet she advised me that the stater was burnt out, I asked her if I went and bought my own form a nearby auto parts store would they be able to use the starter and she said yes. After dropping the new starter off ***** called me and said that the mechanic didn't want to use the one I bought but instead offered to sell me one they had and she guaranteed that theirs would work, but it didn't. After their starter didn't work I decided to take my truck elsewhere and asked them for the bill that I owed. ***** replied that the total was over $900. I asked them why it was so high she explained that the replacement of the starter was over $300, so I asked to take the starter off of my truck because I have one in the back seat, they charged me $170 for the removal of the starter. I did not leave their property with any of their parts. Also, that charged me $135 for a diagnosis which was impossible because my truck's computer wouldn't work because of a wire that was burnt out behind the dashboard. After paying over $700, I also had to get my truck towed because it still did not crank. The responsible shop for fixing my truck is Chets Auto Repair for the price of $450 and my truck has been running great since.Business response

On 3/6/2023 The starter was replaced by Stingray Chevrolet but customer chose to have the starter removed because the vehicle had further starting problems that needed to be addressed.
On 11/28/23 Based on customers notes Chet's auto repair replaced the starter on the vehicle along with ignition switch.
Starter replacement was deemed necessary by Stingray Chevrolet and Chet's auto service.

In between the time I left the Bartow Chevrolet and Chet's Auto Repair my truck was at Shade Tree Mechanic of Bartow off US 17 for 7 months. The mechanic could not find out what the problem and only charged me $75 for the tow because he couldn't figure out the problem, that's honest. I was charged for a diagnosis that was impossible because the wire that goes to my computer was fried. The $732.00 bill that I recieved was said to be labor on the receipt was ridiculous if I did not purchase any parts.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I was over charged for the labor and charged for a diagnosis that was impossible to have a read because the wire to my computer was fried. I deserve a refund because my truck was in the exact same condition before and after and I would like my money back.

Bought a used 2017 Nissan truck from here. Told them about the issue with antenna and they said they would fix it. Well they didn't and claims we broke it which we did not. We were wanting the original antenna on the truck not the cheap plastic rubber one. They gave us the original one and we went to change it out and it's missing a piece we told them and they will not replace. Customer service was rude with me.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/05) */ In regards to anything promised from us as a dealer, it goes on a form labeled "WE OWE". We have this form signed by the customer in every deal, even if there is nothing promised. The deal in question has a we owe stating we would fix air conditioning noise only, which we did. Fixing the air conditioner was the only agreed upon repair between the dealership and the customer, which the customer signed off on. Regarding the antenna, it had an aftermarket one on it when they bought the truck, which we told them if we could get original from previous customer we would. Keep in mind the aftermarket Antenna was working. We were able to get the factory Antenna about a week later and give it to the customer to switch out themselves. Timothy admitted to our service writer that a part broke while he was installing it. Again, the only thing promised was fixing the AC noise. AS far as being rude,******** is the one that abruptly ended the conversation with the sales person. Please see attached "WE OWE" form.
