The complaint involves poor quality of work, and lack of response from the company. The gutter installed in the roof of the enclosure leaks badly during rains. It is another matter that the company never fulfills the promised completion of project schedule. It was exhausting to contact them again and again to please start and finish the work. It took about 1 year to complete the work while the salesperson promised a few weeks. He also promised that he will personally watch over the progress. When I contacted the salesperson he said he quit the company and had very negative view of the company.

The contract for the pool enclosure was signed with Blue Skye Screening on 1/17/23 with a down payment of $9000 which was reconcilled (cashed) on 1/19/23 by Blue Skye Screening. . The contractor stated they would be out to take measurements within a couple weeks and installed within 6-8 weeks (approx 2 months) from the date of the signed contract. The contract was never signed/dated by the contractor and we never received a signed copy nor is there a completion timeline established on the contract. Beginning March-April ************************************************************************************ confirmation of the permit requested through ******************. To date (11/15/23) no permit has been requested, nor communication with a date of install has been received. I have an email communication as well as many messages and documented voice mails asking for an update, and only communication received is they are working on it. I have repeatedly asked only for a refund so a new reliable contractor could be secured as they have taken the down payment and have a breach of contract / non-performance as well as being in violation of the ******* Statues *******.

I am rejecting this response because: we have received the same message from the business multiple times in the last 9+ months and still as of today, Dec. 6th, no attempt has been made to schedule the contracted install, or to give a status update of when to expect an install.  This message was only do to the complaint submitted however no further communication has been sent by the Blue Skye Screening.

      Sincerely,

Hired this company to extend the pool enclosure back in January 2022, they took the initial down payment promising that the job will be completed in 3 months, due to engineering and permits to be completed. 6 months went by without any work being started, called several times to get status of the project with no answer from the project manager. I finally had to call the president of the company to complain about the slow or no response. She assured me that the job will be completed in a timely manner. However, another couple of months went by with no work being done. I then told her that I did not want to do business with them any more due to the luck of professionalism or honesty. I demanded for the down payment to be refunded, which I was told that they already did work on the project and that they will not refund the money. I am still waiting for the refund. I do have records of all the calls and emails going back and forth on the issues.

Enclosure built November 6, 2021. I have reached out to this Bluesky company many times by phone and neighbor to resolve problems with the roof and door and missing gutter. The roof is missing flashing from asphalt to flat enclosure roof. A missing gutter which is necessary for water runoff, water pools on roof causing leaks. The door isn't aligned correctly because of the framing. My phone calls have been monthly with no response. My calls are not answered. Many promises were made and said they would be out in a week, but never showed up. After several attempts of following up with Bluesky to this date nothing has been completed. It is almost a year without completion of this enclosure.

Contracted with this business October 1, 2021. Online permit was issued 12/28/21. Enclosure was finally constructed early June. Unfortunately the permit issued for the front of the property instead of the back of property. I now have a violation of code with city of Clermont. Screen enclosure installed in rear of property without a permit. Company needs to resubmit for a permit to show where enclosure was built, remove enclosure or apply for a variance. I have multiple calls to owner Bruce Rynearson with no response. Sent several emails with correspondence from the city to Bluesky company. Will not answer my calls, pleading that this needs to addressed as soon as possible. I have spent thousands on getting this enclosure finished. This company did not follow through with correct filing of permit, calling for final inspection and does not seem to be willing to fix this problem. I'm in distress not only did this enclosure take a long time to complete but now being threatened from the city. At this time there is little I can do, Bluesky company please respond to the city of Clermont to resolve.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/17) */ In response, We were made aware of this code on October 4th. We addressed this immediately and are currently closely working with Clermont Building Dept. There has always been a permit with this project. Under no uncertain terms, ourselves and Clermont Building Dept will have a resolution and look forward to doing so.

Subject: Breach of contract - Non-Performance - Fraud Return of my initial draw of $7,600.00 Blue Skye Screening breached the contract in violation of FL Statutes 489.126 and also illegally notarized my signature on the NOC. The only thing that they did was pulled a permit and that took 2 months. I had to pay $11,000.00 for the concrete for the job as they did not have a qualified subcontractor at the time, they called Lake County to inspect and it passed. They then sent a new contract requiring me to pay $9,100.00 that I refused to sign as I would have paid them $16,700.00 and the only thing they have done was pulled the permit. They terminated the contract on 1/27/22 and did not mention my deposit. Forcing me to go through Arbitration that I cannot afford.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/27) */ We entered contract with **********. Work commenced 2 days later with engineering. We completed engineered drawings, prepared all permitting documents, permit submittals, permit runners, permit posting & precise laser measurements for installation of the screen enclosure and material take off. All overhead costs that incurred in addition to "just pulling a permit" While **********'s permit was under review in Lake county government building dept, ********** disapproved of the governments policies and procedures as he felt they were taking too long with approving his permit. He publicly displayed his anger on our public ******** page with angry emojis. ********** breached contract by not making progress payments per contract. We continued to move forward in good faith. We made many attempts to keep the project moving only to be met with constant push back & threats to our company. He disproved of our company policies & procedures, employees & timelines. In lieu of **********s breach of contract, constant push back, obstruction of progress, and threats, a decision was made by Blue Skye Screening to terminate contract with ********** and a letter was sent to him cancelling the project. We contacted Lake County Building Dept and advised them of our situation with **********. Lake county government, per our request, closed out our permit and progress to that point was finaled. All work that was completed & overhead costs incurred by Blue Skye was paid for and deducted from **********'s original deposit, the only monies ever received by him. ********** refused the deducted amount. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Blue Skye Screening breached the contract in violation of FL Statutes 489.126 that states they have 30 days to make application for permitting after taking my $7600.00 deposit on 8/24/21, It took them 35 days before making application on 9/29/21. County Date Stamps don't lie, and Blue Skye Screening also illegally notarized my signature on the NOC and recorded it Lake County Clerk of Court. After permit was received, we all agreed that Blue Skye Screening did not have a qualified subcontractor to do the large concrete job involved. I paid $11,000.00 out of pocket for the concrete. Blue Skye Screening then called Lake County to inspect the Slab & Footer and it passed 12/6/21. Blue Skye Screening voided the 1st contract at that time. Blue Skye Screening then on 12/16/21 sent a new contract requiring me to pay $9,100.00 to move forward that I refused to sign as I would have paid them $16,700.00 with no onsite material or physical worked performed. They terminated the contract on 1/27/22 and did not mention my deposit at all, they planned on keeping it all. I was forcing to take Blue Skye Screening to Small claims court. The case is still open with Lake County at this time, On the back of the contract, small print that all deposit disputes to go through Arbitration and that is very costly. Blue Skye Screening had been investigated in the past by a local Action investigative team and found that they were in disputes with multiple other consumers. I wish I would have done more due diligence and not hired Blue Skye Screening. Return of my deposit of $7600.00 that I paid almost a year ago. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/08/11) */ Blue Skye Screening cancelled the contract with Mr.****** through a legal cancellation letter and legally through the Lake County Florida Building Department due to breach of contract, malicious threats to our company, obstruction of progress, constant push back, disproving of our company policies, procedures and employees. We have run this company for 17 years. No company should have to endure what we went through with Mr******. Cancelling contract with Mr****** was an informed company decision. And we stand by that decision. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/08/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) WOW. The Bruce R******** with Blue Skye Screening will be judge at a later time by a higher power. The facts are simple and I would be more then happy to share all my Documents, Printed emails and Texts to prove that. My mistake was I did not do enough research on Bruce R******** & Blue Skye Screening and not having an attorney look at the back of the contract. Any company that has that many provisions to keep your deposit must plans on keeping it and not completing the job. Looking at Bruce R******** License on the State website and viewing all the Citations filed, the Fines issued, forced Education and Probation issued by the State of Florida. I did not do enough research, I would have also found out he was part of a local TV action report about defrauding multiple consumers in 2015. Blue Skye Screening breached the contract in violation of FL Statutes 489.126 that states they have 30 days to make application for permitting after taking my $7600.00 deposit on 8/24/21, It took them 35 days before making application on 9/29/21. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/08/14) */ We stand by our decision to legally cancel contract with Mr.****** and Lake County Florida Building Department stood by our decision to legally cancel our permit and granted cancellation. There will be no further comments moving forward. Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2022/08/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This seems to be a pattern that Bruce R******** with Blue Skye Screening has. They write a contract, collect deposit money then delay the process and force the consumer to Arbitration. They admit that they canceled the contract, what gives them the right to keep the deposit money then? If they canceled, then they should return the deposit money... Please post this issue to warn other consumers. There will be no further comments.

I contracted with Blue Skye to replace the "supergutter" between my roof and the pool enclosure, and to replace some of the enclosure screens. I agreed with their representative Tyler (apparently no longer with the company) who recommended that I go with a larger gutter at additional cost. The final project cost, with the work order signed December 7, 2021, was over $3000. The completed job, finished January 18, 2022, looked good. However, starting with the first rainstorm after the job was completed, the gutter overflowed at both ends. On the west end, the resulting "waterfall" has dug a hole about 1 foot in diameter and two feet deep in my lawn, and the deluge has continued with every subsequent rain storm. I have several video clips of that overflow during various rain events. I've attached a screenshot capture from one of the more recent ones. Eventually (June 18) two workmen came out and said the downspout was blocked. They climbed on a ladder and removed a couple of handful's of leaves and told me that may be a recurring requirement (I'm 78 years old). One worker mentioned that there were larger downspouts (4" X 5") made, but there was no offer made to supply one. As soon as the next rain storm started, the overflow started again. Since then, every rainstorm has resulted in the overflow. I have placed a paver over the hole to prevent further washout to the lawn.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/23) */ Hello******* we are not sure why you have done this BBB complaint . Frank and Bruce the owner came out to your property and explained to contact us if the un clogging of the holes for the downspouts does not fix the problem to call the office and we can put on the 4x5 to see if that helps. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) While I am gratified that the company has responded, further phone calls and texts to their representatives have not resulted in any positive steps. I have asked to speak with Bruce through two other persons but have not been able to do so. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/08/04) */ Sorry to hear that******* . I have not heard of you calling or texting but I will call tomorrow .

We purchased a screened in patio from Blue Sky Screening (Rhyno Corp) office address different than mailing *************************************** almost 2years ago.About 10 monthsafter the roof where meets the gutter began to leak in many places from the corner of the top. Many months after, the leaking spread to the door, halfway to the other side. It took about 6 months to get looked at after being blown off many times. I was told so many times that a person would be out to fix on a certain date and all were no shows, always excuses. I contacted Bruce R******** on the phone and advised him the story. He apologized and said would get it fixed. Never heard back from him for a long time. It had to be at least 7-8 times I was given a date that an employee would be here to fix the issue and no one ever showed up. Finally someone showed up and resealed the area. This did not work. I contacted the business again and was blown off many times more. Finally about a month ago an employee (known as Frank) and another employee came out to the house. Frank told me that he sees the area and that THE WHOLE THING WAS DONE WRONG WHEN BUILT! Talking about the fixture and sealing. He said he would have to come back in two weeks so he can remove some debris in the gutters. I advised him my gutters were being cleaned in a week. I never heard back.On May 16th I called Bruce and told him still waiting. I sent him pictures and a video of the issue and what Frank said about being done wrong. Bruce said oh well, he shouldn't have said that. I have several text messages with Bruce about the issue. 5/20 spoke with Bruce on phone, he said he and another person would be here on Monday or Tuesday for sure, but he will call me Monday morning 5/23. After no call, I called bruce Monday at 6:18 pm. He just apologized and he will be here Wednesday 5/25 at either 9 or 10am. Nobody showed up as promised as usual. Bruce will not return my texts or calls. After a year this is horrible they do not care

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/06/13) */ We have been out a few times and believe we know what the problem is . Spoke with homeowner today and have a plan to resolve the leak at gutter Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/06/17) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I texted Bruce Monday to give them one more try to fix the issue that they caused by not doing the proper work when building according to their own person. Bruce told me he would have someone here this week. I have not heard from him and it is now Friday. Again....tried to give him one more chance but was lied to again. This is terrible and we need the issue fixed but even with warranty he continued to lie about getting someone here. I'm getting a written estimate for the cost and unfortunately will have to end up taking them to court. Now I'm firm on not wanting anyone from that company to come on our property. Way to many chances I gave them to continued to be lied to about having someone fix the situation. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/06/23) */ We have been in contact with Mr******* on the warranty repair. We did a site visit with Mr******* and repairs were completed. Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2022/06/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) A worker did come out as scheduled (June 22) and he also looked at the area and stated it wasn't done right as far as the screws go and dealing. Bruce (owner) did call me shortly after to see how things went, which I very much appreciated. Unfortunately it rained two days later and the same leakage occurred. I did not notify Bruce as the rain was later Friday evening and I didn't want to bother him on a weekend for this. I will notify him Monday. It could be the sealant did not have time to deal with rain but I'll follow up with Bruce to see where we can go from here. I'm glad Bruce reached out after the worker was here.

We hired Blue Skye Screening to install our screen enclosure inlcuding an elite room with a fan beam. Pool construction took a bit longer than expected, but by November 18th, we were ready to go with the screen. From that point, we had a really hard time getting a hold of the company to start the screen process. December 17th was the one and only time we spoke to Bruce, the owner, and he in turn cussed out my husband. By that point, we just wanted the job done and cut ties with this company. The job was completed in February of 2022. After pool completion, we had an electrician come out on April 13th to install a fan in the installed fan beam. Come to find out a fan beam was never installed in our roof. We have tried to contact the company numerous times (4 emails, 10+ texts, 10+ phone calls) in the past month, with zero response. No one has come out to show us where the fan beam might be (as it's not where it's stated on the blue prints). They did not install what was stated in the contract, and therefore we did not get what we paid for. We have to pay someone else to figure out a fix. We have no desire to work with this company any more. I just want the refund of the fan beam that was not installed and to cover the additional cost of what we have to do now to get a fan installed.

Consumer Response /* (4200, 26, 2022/07/08) */ Case is not closed yet. 6/16 they called me to set up a date/time to install the fan beam (since it was never installed initially). 6/23 got an email to confirm an installation date of July 8th between 9am-1pm. 7/8- got a call at 1pm stating they can't come today, and will make it out on Monday We're now three months from when I initially contacted them about the issue at hand.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/22) */ We have reached out to this customer and spoke to him at length. He stated he requested the BBB remove this review and I would like BBB to honor that request. We do not collect any draws until scope of work per the signed contract is complete. Competed - Engineering, permitting, formed & poured concrete pool deck -coping,cantilever,step riser, & deco drain. (Shot acrylic deck and paint - not on signed contract - not charged) Contract signed Nov2, Engineering took 4 weeks with respect to Thanksgiving week closure. Engineering back and sent to permitting Dec8. Permit ready Jan4 with respect to Christmas week and New Years week county building closures. All permitting and engineering can take 4-8 weeks and is uncontrollable by us as this is government. Scheduling project can only commence after permit issuance & in this case Jan4. This project does not exceed the value of what the job should cost. It is VASTLY the opposite.
