Someone referred us to Issac ****** for a concrete pad and retaining wall for detached garage. He came to give a quote and stated he does these all the time. We received quote and accepted. He stated it would take about a week, two at most. We applied for the permit, and he began work on 1/31/24. He brought in the dirt and started creating the pile for the slope. He worked for about 2 weeks. Then he started to barely come and stop returning phone calls. We finally got him to come back and start the footers for the retaining wall. Those were finally installed about 2/1/24. We got them inspected, now he has not come back to finish and is not returning phone calls. It is now 3/18/24. He has left a huge pile of dirt in the back yard with footers and rebar. The last we heard he was going to try and have someone come to install the block for the retaining wall about 3 weeks ago. We have tried many phone calls and text messaged waiting for an update. We had another contractor come to estimate fixing what he left. They say it will take $25k to fix the mess and finish. He also said he didn't space the footers correctly & the pad footers are not square. We have started to research his company- found his LLC "Pound 4 Pound LAWNCARE LLC" is active. In Escambia County his business is listed as active for Business Tax ISSAC ****** "POUND 4 POUND LAWN & CONSTRUCTION". I called to check his construction license and they say he is supposed to have a license for construction of concrete pads for Detached Garages, but he does not have an active license. He used to have one that went to status "null/void". So that is our error for hiring him and not checking; but he said he does this all the time and is more than capable of completing the job. Although now we are 8 weeks in, he had $5k of our money and we are left with a pile of dirt and footers that are spaced wrong in our back yard; and he is avoiding all our attempts to contact him to fix the situation.

I hired Issacc ****** from pound 4 pound `to do my stamped patio and it's a huge mess. The pattern is way out of line, there are areas not stamped and other areas that were re-troweled and restamped with 3 different shades of finish. Also, the poured and stamped patio is extremely uneven with the house, and they splattered concrete on the house. There are two area where the work is smeared. I had called and text them for 6 weeks and they came back and looked at it and said I see what you're talking about. Said they would come back and never did. I talked and showed the job they did to other contractors (some in person some with pics) and they all agreed it needs to be completely removed and repoured. When I text Issacc (which I have all the text) he became argumentized defensive and said he is Lawyer up and that I am a fake @SS Christian and a racist and that he was going to let everyone know that I am a racist. Not very professional in my opinion. I told him that I hired him, bought lunch for all four and supplied cold drinks all day for them, so where am I a racist. His reply was you like seeing black people sweat. I explained I didn't call to argue I just want this corrected. I got an estimate from Chris at concrete professional for 7500 before I had pound 4 pound come. Chris feels bad and gave me a price to do the job including the extra removal for $5800. I got a verbal estimate from ******** concrete from $8,000 - $10,000. I have filed a complaint already with the attorney general of Florida. It is my full belief that Pound 4 Pound should pay the lowest amount of $5800 sine they are 100% responsible for creating this problem. I don't want them back here as I am almost 68 and feel threatened by Issacc's words and actions and don't believe (as the other contractor's do) that Pound 4 pound don't have the necessary skills to properly do the stamping and job right, as they proved. I will send pics from my phone.
