On May 1st I ordered two executive reference checks at $69.00 each.I received an email from ************** as follows:"************** <****************************************>Fri, May 3, 10:06PM to me My name is ****** and I am the counselor for your reference checks. As soon as I make contact with your previous employers and secure a reference I will be in touch. I will also keep you updated if there is a delay in contacting them. i.e. not returning phone calls, etc.Please let me know if you have any questions.Thank you,******"I responded to the email and have called and left many messages using every available option but there has been no response to date.This is a scam.Business response

On October 25, 2023, I placed an online order with checkmyreferences.com. During that transaction, checkmyreferences.com requested payment of $69.00 for the services. I paid that fee.During December, 2023, company sent me an email saying they were about to start the work to provide the services requested.During April 2024, having not received the services paid for, I contacted company requesting that services be performed. I noted that if services were not initiated by close of business Monday, April 8, 2024, I was requesting a refund at that time.Company does not respond to my emails and has not refunded my payment.Initial Complaint

On December 12, 2023, I ordered These Items from **&C. Order #N325645 1 Taffeta Puff Sleeve Tie Waist Blouse $27.98 1 Sleeveless 3D Floral Dress $55.20 1 High Waist Taffeta Midi Skirt $35.98 These Items were delivered on 12/22/2023. I returned them on 12/23/2023 because I didn't like them. These were dropped off at my local post office ***** On January 7th I check the tracking and it showed that These were picked up by the **&C agent on 12/26/2023. I reached out to **&C and the 7th no one answered the phone. I left voicemail and emails and no one responded until February 2nd that their customer service wrote to me that they were experiencing a delay in their refund process. Since then I have not received my refund. No one from **&C has responded to my follow up emails and voicemails.Initial Complaint

On Oct. 23, 2023, I paid Check My References $56.90 to conduct a professional reference check on my behalf. Since then I've received a receipt and nothing else. My emails have remained unanswered and every time I've called their toll-free number, my call has been routed to voicemail no matter the option I've chosen. I'm beginning to suspect that this business is nothing more than a scam. I noticed on BBB's website that they've been reported twice before and received a grade of 'F.' I should have checked with BBB first before spending any of my money. At this point, I'm seeking a refund. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I placed an order to have 7 references checked. After 2 weeks I had heard nothing. I emailed-no response. I called, wasn't able to speak with anyone and so left a voicemail.It is despicable that this business is scamming vulnerable people just trying to improve their lives. I would like an immediate refund. I will proceed to file a fraud complaint with the government as it's clear that this company is not and has never been legitimate.Shame on you-refund my money immediately.
