The issue is that Vanguard gave us a quote that was nearly $10,000 less than what was paid and we had gone over this WITH PHOTOS. This is a bait and switch that relies on the fact that we are in a time sensitive situation where we have no options when the new bill is presented. There were a lot of little promises that were not kept as well. Such as furniture being put together, large mirrors hung and delivery time and date.

Already filed a complaint with safeship movig services who i thought i was doing business with. They hired vanguard moving located in ******* wa per the invoice i got from them. I was originally quoted a price of *******. Then met with a ***************************** on 5/21, Let him know my new apartment would have stairs, and that several items including a treadmill which came with a $100 fee for would no longer be going. He had me measure everything lengthen/wid/hei. He raised the price on me. Then on 5/25 movers came charged to use my card despite it being agreed to in the beginning. Had me sign for pickup and card fee was not given anything. Come june 2nd came to deliver. Telling me I could not use a card. I got that worked out by using card for some and pay via zelle for the rest. Despite giving an email to send it to driver had send to personal account. After payment done I advised washer/dryer garage everything else in apartment.. He told me he would have to leave couch and bigger items in garage unless I paid an extra fee, we fought, cops came. In the end I said if i pay fee everything in this truck will be in my apartment he said yes. After he was done i walked around to see if I got everything. I noticed all weights and punching bag in the garage. I said those need to be in the apartment, he said for a fee. I told him to get the h*** out of my apartment. after he drove away I found a table of mine outside the garage and broken. Once I unloaded things I got to **** as I felt due to all that and several things broken/missing pieces I deserved some kind of discount. Come to find out they charged me for packing materiels, added higher space when I picked up, as well as the drives extra fees. I was tolld the $225 was for long distance move. per estimate first 75 feet free, my rough esrtimate is ***** feet so should be no fee especuially $225. And driver claims he didn't know weights wer supposed to be in the apartment. in the end ******* was ******* and still not done.

On Feb 2, 2024 I spoke with ************************* who provided me with a quote for moving my things from ********** to **************** on or about Feb 28, 2024. He quoted me about $4000 for the move and could be more depending on exact amount of boxes. I paid a deposit of $1331 on 2/20/24 with ************************* and on 2/22/24 I spoke with **************** who gave me a quote of about an additional $1700 per payment. I thought this was a little high and with him being so rude about my payment not going through because it was flagged as fraud I became hesitant. He began screaming about how I need to pay my bill and I should have my money together and he was the manager and I could not speak with anyone else. Now I am apprehensive about having him move my entire life across country so I emailed him I wanted my money back and to cancel my move which he replied ok in email. This is completely unprofessional and I should have been refunded my money asap they NEVER provided any services to me for this move but took my deposit.

On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, I spoke with Vanguard Moving Services LLC, who offered moving services for $1500.00 with a pick-up date of my belongings between 12/29/23-12/30/23. I authorized a $434.70 charge to my credit card as a deposit. Tuesday, December 26, 2023, I signed a Bill of Lading from Moving Prime LLC, Job No: S4976092, sent via email by Vanguard Moving Services LLC. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, I placed a call to Vanguard Moving Services LLC to find out exactly when my items would be picked up. I was told there still wasnt a known date. Friday, December 29, 2023, and Saturday, December 30, 2023, came and went and I was not contacted by Vanguard Moving or any other moving company?! December 30, 2023, I sent an email to *********************************************************** requesting a refund of the $434.70 for services not rendered (attached Document A ). I also contacted my bank who on January 2, 2024, credited back to my credit card the charge of $434.70. Note, Vanguard Moving Services LLC had 4 days to contact me regarding my move. February, 21, 2024, the charge of $434.70 was put back on my credit card by my bank as they were relying on good faith of Vanguard Moving Services LLC to refund the charges. April 17, 2024, I sent an additional email to Vanguard Moving Services LLC requesting a refund. (attached Document B). April 17, 2024, I received a response from Vanguard Moving Services LLC stating no refund would be issued at this time (attached Document C). May 10, 2024, I sent an additional email to Vanguard Moving Services LLC requesting a refund. (see Document D attached). I have not received any response. In Vanguard Moving Services LLC TERMS AND CONDITIONS, they state 2 times that Vanguard Moving Services LLC will act on behalf of the customer in resolving any claims, or delay issues, with the carrier. There has been no attempt by Vanguard Moving Services LLC to resolve the issues I encountered, only to take money for services not rendered!

3/6/2023, Vanguard Moving Services quoted me for the move of household goods from ***** to ******. I paid $2,897.38 to secure the truck for this move weeks in advance and days in advance they called to confirm and advise that the cost would be more than double. They refused to refund the amount that I paid, and after reading numerous reviews on Yelp of their fraudulent and property damaging activities I decided to cut my losses and not take on any additional risk with them by agreeing to the rate hike and proceeding with the move. Please read the reviews on Yelp from consumers that continue to be victims of these criminals. Shut them down.

I contracted services with this broker to find moving servings and put down a deposit ($3696) and the total costs for moving were $9897.00. With 30% due at time of booking, then 50% due after packing and the rest due at delivery. Wishing the 72 hour grace ****** I emailed them to cancel services. I immediately received a phone call where they negotiated a lower price for 1-26Ft truck vs. 1.5 trucks. I accepted and agreed to pack all of my small items to cut cost. With the understanding the movers would pack all the larger items (mattresses, mirrors, tvs, etc). This was not the case as the carrier had a charging post for tape, shrink rap and any mattress covers ($80 for up to a king). Home sight is 20/20, but the company did not honor the new price and it mysteriously no longer showed up in email messages. ***** simply said she could only go by the original request stating I should have signed another Credit Card Authorization Form. Would never use ************ again recommend contracting directly with moving company. Vanguard had no remorse for their role in the lies and deceit related to services reported and actually received. It was flabbergasting and ultimately disappointing the lack of support they provided, taking no accountability though in one breath saying they record everything though not going to honor the signed services and definitely denied providing a refund. Beware of this broker service. Specifically they cited the new job number was not valid even though I didnt change the job number and the document included both job numbers.

They record your phone conversations without notice or consent which is unlawful in the ****************. ******* is a 'two party consent" state that requires you to consent to the recording for it to be considered lawful. The company refused to work with me to remedy my issue.

01/09/2024 We contracted with Vanguard to move from ********** to *****. We informed **** that we needed a trailer size 20x9x8 which is equivalent to 1440 cubic feet. **** stated that since we packed, broke down beds etc. he would give us a great deal. Upon receiving the down payment of $1096.80, the date was set and we were assured this would be a smooth process.Upon receiving paperwork, we noticed that **** has the 20x9x8 but said it was only 720 cubic feet. We brought this to his attention and was assured we would still pay the same price with the correct cubic feet of 1440, it was his mistake. The 19th of January would be our pick up date. A U-haul pulls up and we were told that a semi could not come in our neighborhood. Then we were told that all of our belongings would not fit because we only had 720 cubic feet. That is not correct, we call ****, no answer. Leave a message, no response. Tell the guy to unload everything and we will figure something out. He wants us to pay $200 per hour per employee that was assisting him which would have equaled another $1500. Fine we leave lots of things behind and pay another $2000 with the balance being paid upon delivery. Total price quoted $3912.03. Balance upon delivery $818.23. Set delivery for February 17th 2024. A new company arrives on February 5th and we are looking like why are you here. This driver puts our belongings in storage and now we are being told that unless we pay this $4000 we won't get our stuff.

I hired Vanguard Moving Services, LLC to move my furniture from ***********, ** to ******, **. The quote they originally gave me was $1,771.00 which I why I hired them. By the time they were done, they ended up charging me without any advance notice $7,211.58 plus tips. I offered them $300 each for a tip and they told me that wasn't enough. Vanguard sub-contracted Allied to do the move. I had no choice at this point because they already had my merchandise. They were supposed to show up 2/25/23 to 2/26/23. They never showed up. I was supposed to make settlement on my place the next day. I had to fly back home to FL. They said they couldn't do the move until 3/27/23 to 3/28/23. I had to get another flight back to ** and rent a car. the flight cost me $349. and the rental car cost me $260. They stored the merchandise then moved it to a storage unit for me. When I went to move my stuff into the house in ** I found the following items were missing. New leaf blower valued at $299.99, Complete tool box with tools valued at $300., Office supplies valued at $200.00, ************** for 8 dishes valued at $299.00, French Countryside antique dish set value at $600.00, Paper shredder valued at $125.00, DVD Player valued at $200.00, Box of paper ************** valued at $150. and a Shark Vacuum Cleaner valued at $325. I do have supporting documentation which I can mail to you because I have a hard time uploading items. My desired settlement is the difference from what they quoted me to what I paid which was $5,440.58 plus the cost for the airfare and rental car because they didn't show up when they were scheduled the amount is $609. and the money for the missing items which is $2,498.99. The total is $8,548.57. Let alone the aggravation and the fact that I lost the buyer for my property because I didn't get my stuff out when I was supposed to. I would also like a complaint to be recorded with the BBB.
