      I called Cape Plumbing to do a leak detection and repair if necessary on my home on 12/14/2022. I paid $341.25 with 5% extra to use credit card. (invoices # ***** and *****) for the services and the employee from Cape Plumbing wrote down the nature of the work as follows:Perform leak detection to locate leaking line w/ thermal imaging. Found main in front at home. hose bib in back to (A) water heater (cold line) (B) main in front at home. Locate, cut, cop, isolate (chip concret x2) would be $2,500.00. Re route from main/water heater to rear hose bib $4,500.00. $325.00 would be removed from above prices for this repair. Cape plumbing not liable for concrete/drywall.This sounds ridiculous to me, so I told him no thank you. Called another plumbing company to give me another leak detection results and found out that the leak was on the water heater valve. Nothing to do with open concrete wall nor reroute from main to rear house bib.This detection and repairs are a joke and it is a rip off from this company. If you just believe and trust a company like this, you would be out of a lot of money, break your house and repair for nothing. You only need to push down the water heater level to stop the leak. I want my money back and would like others to be aware of this, because you don't need to be robbed from this kind of job and plumbing company. I have both invoices as well as my payment done.

      First I would like to apologize that this complaint never got a response. I am not sure why. 

      I have read your complaint and completely agree with your findings. My plumber should have noticed that your t/p valve was open. I will have a conversation with him and get this fixed. I can see how you would think he was trying to be dishonest. Rest assured he is not. If you look up my company name you will find that the plumber at your home has the most reviews all being 5 star. I can also assure you he made a mistake in diagnosing your issue. I am happy to give you a full refund as you deserve it.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I selected this plumbing company because I had trust in them and was very disappointed with the service provided and no response to this complaint.  I really appreciate it that ************* realized the mistake and honor as I expected the service provided.  Thank you for respond to this and I would like to be refunded back to my account.  You make me trust on your company again.

      This occurred on May 31, 2022 the workmen was *** the **** was $895 with a 3% fee because its a credit card which brought it to a total of 920 185 they rebuilt a manifold for a 1 inch main shut off valve to include installation of a new hose bib.I got their name out of a book that is called ***************** they were on the top of the list so I assumed they were a good and reputable company that is not to be true I spoke with the owner and he just laughed it off like there was no problem I need something to be done about that people should not be able to take someone to the cleaners for no reason

      Good morning,

      We did not take advantage of anyone. This customer ask us to replace this manifold with a new main shut off valve and a new hose bib. 
      We quoted a price up front and she agreed without hesitation.

      A few days later her landscaper called me asking for money back as I found out she was making him pay for the charges. Apparently he accidentally hit the pipe while cutting her grass. How sad is it that we live in a day where people take advantage of a person that probably only charges $75.00 a month to keep her grass cut but they take advantage of working class people. I felt sorry for this small owned company and gave him a $300.00 refund. 

      Then a few more days pass and I get a call from this homeowner complaining that I said its sad for this person to take advantage of him. She started off the conversation complaining and insulting me. Then wanting to argue. Yes of course I laughed because if I had not have I would have told her what I really think. 

      I will not refund people you that take advantage of working class individuals. Its people like you that is the reason our world is where it is today.

      Bought a three-year contract with Dr **** tried to call in June to get an appointment and no answer so Im out two years worth of money. Not good business
