On May 18th 2023 I had *************************** from BNR painting come to my house and give me an estimate to paint the interior and exterior of my house (see attachment). The estimate was $11000 total $5500 exterior and $5500 interior. We agreed on the price and commencement of work on 5/24/2023. I gave him $5500 to start the job. I advised him to finish the front of the house first because I have flooring workers coming on 5/29, and they may be in the way. He had 5 business days to finish the front. As of today 6/3 the front is still not finished. He refused to use drop cloths, and there is paint all over the pavers in my driveway. He said he will pressure wash the paint off, but that never happened. We had discussions regarding early start times in order to maximize efficiency due to the afternoon rainstorms in *******, and his response was, " I am not a W2 employee I will come when I want". on 6/1 he was trying to spray paint in a thunderstorm, and now there is paint all over the pavers around my pool in the back of the house. He also repeatedly complained about the estimate being to low to me and my wife, and telling us he will run out of paint. On 6/2/2023 he wanted to start the interior, but I told him to finish the exterior first, and he requested an additional $1000 before he would do any more work. I told him I will give him the $1000 when the exterior is finished, but he refused to do any more work. At this time I have paint all over my windows, and driveway ( he refused to mask anything or use drop cloths). There is paint all over my driveway and back pool deck, and my house is 3/4 unpainted. I have to hire someone to pressure wash the paint off my driveway, and patio. I have to hire another painting company to redo the job. At this time I am requesting a full refund of $5500.
