I accepted a cash advance from Splash Advance (via Alternative Funding Solutions), in the amount of $5,000, on 9/14/23, under the premise that I would receive access to a line of credit, in the amount of $12,500, after 3 weeks (15 business days) of successful payments. It has been 7 weeks, and I have not received the promised line of credit. I have contacted the company MANY times, asking for updates and explanations. I have been redirected, promised I would receive a call at a future date, transferred to other agents and other departments, etc. It does not appear that any credit application process was ever completed on my behalf by this company, and it is also clear that I never would have heard any more about the matter had I not called every week since the credit line was supposed to become available.The total amount I received for the cash advance was $4,500, and the amount of receivables Splash Advance purchased was $7,450. My daily payment is $99.33 based on an estimate of *****% of my daily revenue (average monthly revenue being $18,850.43) for the past 4 months. This payment is set for a term of 105 days, and the Estimated APR is 381.69%I would NEVER have accepted a cash advance from this company (certainly not one with these terms) had I not been assured that I was already approved for the **** I have received reassurances of this (both by phone and by email) whenever I expressed concern. On 9/21/23 I was charged a $500 pre-authorization fee of 4% (as per the terms of the agreement), yet I have still never received the $12,500 line of credit I was promised. At this point I've come to feel that this company's business practices are PREDATORY. I believe that I was extended the cash advance, with the promise of future funding, because the company expected I would miss a payment, default on the funding, or accept additional funding elsewhere, before I was approved for the **** The longer they delay that approval, the more likely this seems to me.
