GlobalTax did our tax returns for personal and business returns for 6 years. We had an April appointment in 2022 to do 2021 taxes. I called day of appointment to make sure we had enough time to go over details as I had a **** property exchange to discuss as *********************** wouldn't return numerous requests made to him for assistance with exchange in 2021. I was informed I had to email my info as they were not meeting in person. So I emailed info twice with confirmation. I called and emailed multiple times throughout 2022 to get update on when returns would be done. The family friend who recommended this company confirmed they would do my taxes as his had already been done and this was the normal way this company worked. I found someone else to do return. I got $4700 back in July, 2023 and then a $2100 fine for filing a late return. ********************** office set the appointment; received my paperwork and then did not perform; did not communicate - Did Nothing. January 11th 2023, ***** an administrator with Global Tax Services, *** returned my phone call. She stated that since I had cancelled my service, my scheduled appointment was also cancelled. I then said to her what do you mean that I cancelled my services? I explained to her that I had cancelled my sons appointment for the tax year 2022.I continued to call and leave messages attempting to reach *********************** to explain that I needed to have my taxes done.Finally *************************** texted me and stated we no longer do individual taxes only corporate tax. At that point I wanted to get all of my tax returns for the past 5 years because the *** told me that my tax preparer would have at least that many past years taxes.The last communication that I had was on March 3 2023 via Text letting me know that they are not doing my taxes. That is fine but what I want are my records for the past 5 years.
