This complaint is over inadequate and insufficient treatment my dog received in order to treat an ear infection. I would like a refund for $1,603.49 O9/23/2022 My dogs first office visit for a severe ear infection. ****************** should have taken a culture of my dogs ear on first office visit. Right ear drum is not visible due to swelling. 10/11/2022 second office visit ****************** still doesnt think to do a culture, She doesnt know what type of bacteria infection shes treating, and kept prescribing useless antibiotics and **** drops,Not to be given when you cant see dogs ear drum. 11/23/2022 third office visit I had to request that ****************** take a culture b/c the antibiotics didnt clear up his ear infection. I was told the culture could take 7 to 10 days to come back.I made my appt. for 12/7/2022. My dogs culture came back 12/1/2022. No one called me to let me know the report came in. ****************** let me wait till 12/7/2022 .to get the culture results. Sure enough my dog had a strain resistant infection. Dr..******* ******** to me, I had a hunch thats what it was!!! my poor dog has been suffering since September with his ear infection, and She tells me she had ***** anc NEVER suggested a culture?? The lab recommended gentamicin ointment. I was told to order through Chewy, this took 4 days to arrive at my house..*****************, prescribes off label dosage only 3 drops once a day for 7 days. The manufacturer spends a lot of money on testing to find the correct dosage to treat infections. The manufacturer dosage to give 4 drops twice a day for 7 days. The Lab Calusa ,uses the report said Pseudomonas Specias, the Lab didnt pin down the species of the infection?? 12/21/2022 and 12/28 2022 were follow up visits. ******************, took a swab of my dogs ear. I could see he had some brown gunk on swab. I knew his ear infection wasnt gone .I ended up taking my dog to Another Veterinary and they cleared his infection right up.Customer response
