I was originally quoted just under ***** for my move. This was after an exhausting phone conversation where I had to try and explain in detail everything that was to be moved in my house in ******* to *********. One day before they were supposed to be there, I got a call from Progressive and wanted to go over everything again. I was sitting in a parking lot for 45 minutes detailing everything once again. Then they claimed it was going to be like ***** more pounds and so they said I had to pay ****** or so. Then they told me that they were not going to be able to make it on the day they originally promised and I had to wait another day. I was very dejected at this point but didn't have time to start all over with someone else so I had no choice but to accept their terms. If it just stopped there I would not be writing this. When they finally showed up in *********, I first realized that they contracted another company to move my stuff. With a temporary storage of my stuff in *********. That's where I believe the damage was done. The people who showed up in ******* and the people who showed up in ********* were seemingly decent people who worked responsibly and with caution. But when I started unpacking I found out quickly that I had a lot of broken items. Some were just a source of anger and some were downright hurtful as they were items that had been in the family for many years. All of these were packed appropriately. I spent hundreds of dollars on bubble wrap and packing peanuts. They even crushed all of the wardrobe boxes. All crushed. Then I went to make a complaint and received an email that I had to make my complaint to the company they contracted. The email included something like seven pages of instructions to start a claim with these contractors. By the time I got done reading it I was ready to give up. The process I was expected to go through was ridiculous. Made that way intentionally, I'm sure.

I paid $1,908.80 July 16, 2021 for a move through ************************************************** I called to cancel within the allowed time line and was told I would not be recieveing a refund. I called back the following day to speak to another person about getting a refund and was flat out told no. After that I went to my house to wait for the movers to come ***************** and they never showed up. We called back after their no-show for a refund and were denied for a 3rd time. We were forced to purchase a uhaul to get the bulk of our items moved from North ******** to South Tennessee. After we got settled we called about getting our money back, denied again and were told that they would call within one year to reschedule our move. They said to contact after a years time for a refund if they didnt reach out to us. They never called us back, we never got our money, and they stopped answering our calls.

I hired ************************************************* to move ** from ******, ******** to ********, **. They wouldn't allow ** to ** ***************** and now I know why. They were going to send someone to give an estimate and never did. Then they sent a form to ** to fill out describing what we needed moved. A man named *********************** kept calling me and carrying on wonderful conversations, asking about my handicapped husband. Each time he called he needed more deposit. They also charged me a $1,000 to ship a car and they never should up either. Some one called me and said they weren't coming because he was broken down. When I called **** to tell him that, he said " he was not suppose to tell you were he was". No one ever showed. They owe me about $6,000.The owners were *****************************, ******************* and *******************************, I believe. However my main contact was ***********************

I have emailed and called the company, ************************************************** multiple times without a response. We moved in September of 2021 and it was a disaster. They charged us $21,000 to move from ********* to **************** and the level of service all the way around was atrocious. They subcontracted to a third party, I believe it was ******************************, and didn't provide accurate information for our move. Both companies were unreliable, unprofessional, and uncommunicative. The subcontractor even made some sexist comments to me. And they broke or damaged a number of items. We just discovered that they broke our $700 Christmas tree!

But its September 2022 now and I got no reply from either ****** or this company.

We hired ************************************************* to move my son from Washington to ********. The price we were quoted was $3,600, when moving day came the price was $15,000. They did not tell us they were a third party company that did not actually do the moving. I cancelled the contract and they gave me a 12-month credit for the $887.60 deposit I had paid. The 12 months waiting period was up 8/5/22. I called and emailed. The phone number is not active and the email was returned as undeliverable. Now the website says no longer in business.

We hired ************************************************* from ******* to move us in December. They quoted us around 8000$ first then it we t to 17000$ then to 28000$ when the movers showed up. The company progressive venlines did not mention that they are third-party and they are only hiring the movers as a middleman. When the movers came in they had the old estimate and they brought small truck and they stated that there is no way that they can use the small truck and they have to charge us $28,000 when I mentioned that we already paid over $8000 the movers stated they dont understand why we paid so much to the progressive deadlines because they dont get any of that money. It was a Sunday we tried reaching anyone at any and we couldnt reach anyone so I had to let the movers know to go because we will not pay so much. We had to rent a U-Haul truck which was the same size as the movers came with and we packed the whole house in that U-Haul truck. I contacted ************************************************* and the gentleman laughed at me in the emails and marked my name. They were very unprofessional and they said we are not getting any money back because we signed a contract and because we canceled were not getting any money back well they made the mistake with the movers and they didnt disclose any needed information and they gave the movers the wrong estimate. And I did tell them that that they did the mistake not us they should be responsible and the guy just left in the email. We got with the lawyer the lawyer send a letter to the company seeing if maybe thats going to move some thing nobody heard any response from them. This is on acceptable to scammers. They told me all we can use the $8000 credit for the next inter-state move. Which is ridiculous idea. I am very disappointed that in America business can treat Customer like that this is embarrassing for the country

On the last of November/2021 I called I thought a reputable interstate moving company for a move from Chicago,IL to Decatur ,GA. ( address to be given later) I requested the 1 mo. free storage. They said they could do the job ( #5466124) But never identified themselves as Brokers. They charged me a initial $500.00- bank transfer which I paid and they scheduled the pick up for December 8,2021. On this date the " Moving Depot " showed up, I questioned the change but they said they are the ones who had my job per Progressive Van Lines. They picked up my belongings but they said I had More than the estimate given by Progressive Movers( total $1100.00). The new cost was ( $2764.71).A difference of ( $1664.71), I was shocked but I had time constraints, I paid $ 900.00 with the bal. to be paid in 2 installments before delivery. By 1/ 4/ 22 they notified be that $234.00 storage fee was due which I paid/ ACH on 1/8/22.The original storage per Progressive estmate was for ( $124). By 1/24/22 made several attempts to notify Moving Depot that my move would be Local due to pandemic employment changes. Eventually after calls, emails & text I reached them. I made arrangements for my delivery in Chgo for wk. of 2/14/22. They said I still owed for a long distance move ( $967+). I negotiated the price down, espec as a previously homeless veteran My Veterans Admin counselor also negotiated with Melissa, office manager. Cost agreed upon to PIF with my delivery was $400.00. On 2/ 15/22 ( postponed due to requested written revision of the Billl of Lading, later on 2/17/22 my delivery came 6 hours late, it was obvious the 2 young men,mid 20's were not bonded but workers. As it ended I realized I was missing 15 boxes, a new microwave ( which wasn't specifically listed ) had damage to my stereo( noted after unpacking, a unusable flr. lamp and some boxes had lrge baseballholes & inside rat droppings, they ate through sealed food items.
