Exactly the same thing happened to me. Although I don't have an air handler, I am a single woman who they took advantage from as they did not seal the duct work leading to the outside properly causing me a grand critter problem that I'm now paying $$$ to fix. After numerous attempts to get them to fix the problem I gave up. I'm certain that if I were to request call log from Verizon during that year, I would see more than 30 calls made by me traying to get then to fix the problem. Every time I called, they would say the manager was in a board meeting. I will say more, they hired 2 nice and hardworking cuban fellows and had them working 2 days straight past 8:00 pm. This job entailed changing all the duct work, opening 2 more air vents, changing the return air duct work and installing the new unit. These 2 gentleman had to move the humongous unit from the front lawn to the side of the house without a power lift. When I tipped them not realizing the huge issues I was going to have later, they asked me why so much, indicating that it was too much as they were only paid $500.00 combined for the work. Today I found out that they did not pay the $65.00 to "finalized" the permit with Collier County. Just not right!
