This is a synopsis of the events leading up to my having a deposit with United Kitchen and Bath of Bradenton Florida. March 4, 2020, contacted United Kitchen and Bath via email regarding quote for kitchen renovation March 6, 2020, representative (Lee) came to home to do measurements and discuss styles etc. March 9, 2020, Received quote on a 10' x 10' Kitchen Special for $7600. March 12, 2020, visited showroom, picked out finishes and made initial deposit of $5000 USD March 17,2020, with the rapid unfolding of Covid restrictions and instructions from the Canadian Gov't to return to Canada, we went back to the showroom and put everything on hold, requesting a portion of our deposit back, leaving approximately a 25% deposit ($1800 USD) to hold the job. Not knowing the impact of the Covid pandemic we stayed in Canada from March 2020 until Nov 2nd 2021. July 30, 2020, I sent a follow up correspondence requesting a return of my deposit and received a reply the same day stating all was in order and they would hold the job. July resent my request for a return of deposit - No reply. August 4, 2020, I again sent an email requesting deposit with no response, established contact via phone after many attempts to connect, spoke with Lee and he stated all was in order with the deposit apologized for lack of contact but was shut down due to Covid for several weeks. March 10, 2021, made contact via email and received a response that all was still in effect. Oct 15, 2021, attempted to make contact only to find out phone out of service and no active web page. Oct 15, 2021, contacted Unique Kitchen SRQ INC (941) 921-9888 from information on my CIBC Visa e statement, The lady I spoke with (Judy) claimed she sold her company Unique kitchen and Bath to United Kitchen and Bath in 2017, I questioned why her company name and phone number was on my Visa statement she couldn't answer and claimed she was contacting her lawyer. Oct 16, 2021, contacted CIBC Visa for intervention.
