On March 7, 2023, I had a comprehensive series of radio graphic images (x rays) and MRI capture ( cone x rays) done on my mouth. Insurance did not cover these procedures and I paid out of pocket to White Sands Dentistry. When the practice quoted me $18,000 to have only part of the dental work done which they suggested should be done, I decided to ask for my digital images and not do the work they were suggesting. Since March 7, I have called the ************** times requesting my dental records, and and have left messages on their website and a voicemail as well. After the third call I was finally left a text message that they would mail a digital copy of my images to me. That was three weeks ago. I called again and still have not received my dental records. By law, I have a right to my medical information. I cannot understand why they have refused to send my dental records ( x rays and MRI cone images) to me. I am seeking your help in getting White Sands to comply with the law and send all my dental records to me. Thank you. *************************

I spoke to patient today. There were two discs mailed to her in the past by our office with her CBCT on it however, the address we had on file was not correct. I did confirm her address today and I will mail a disc to her corrected address now. As for her FMX there will be a copy of that in the envelope being mailed. Patient thanked me for my time and this matter should now be resolved.

I sought out treatment at White Sands Dentistry since they claimed to be holistic. I was forced to have x rays because they wouldn't speak with my existing dentist where I did in fact have both x rays and CT scans recently. My appointments were muddled around after the Dr wouldn't listen to me that I do not get numb. Every visit I was told I would have to come yet again every though they know I live over an hr away with 4 kids. Finally I asked to cancel and was told that I would be charged $200 since I had a cleaning and filling scheduled. This is beyond unreasonable. I have nothing remarkable to say about this office or the dentist. They do not deliver on their treatment plans and instead sell more pricey services. I would never recommend them.

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/08/04) */ I appreciate the opportunity to provide documentation of patient not cancelling her appointment within 48 hours. We are a very busy establishment and provide exceptional care to our patients. We notify patients three times of their appointments and give them plenty of time to confirm or reschedule if need be. Patient was notified via text and email on 7.25.22 and 8.2.22 to make any adjustments. Leah emailed us on August 2nd @ 7:37 pm to cancel her appointment less than 48 hours of her scheduled time. Please see attached documents of her confirmed emails along with the signed disclosure from our cancellation policy. Dr M did agree to only charge patient for one missed appointment fee instead of two. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused however, we hope that you understand why these policies are in place.
