Ordered a console table from this company on 7/10/22. They indicate their manufacturing is in Pineville, MO, and the table will be shipped in 2 weeks. Called/emailed them on 8/8/22, when no notice or table had been received. Rep left. VM and a text that the table "was in the shop" and would be shipped that week. After receiving no more contact, I reached out on 8/24/22 to say please update status or I'm cancelling the order and reversing charges. No contact. Reversed charges and filed a claim with my credit card company. Steer clear.

      Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/31) */ Contact Name and Title: Artisan Born Contact Phone: X-XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: *****@artisanborn.com On July 10, 2022 ******* ***** placed an order for a Live Edge Console Table. All of our products are built by order, therefore each order takes approximately 2 weeks to build. Some large orders can take a little longer. On July 23, 2022 ******* was informed by email that there would be a 10-14 day delay on his order. We moved shops the weeks of July 25, 2022 - August 5, 2022. Our move put a 2 week hold on orders. ******* was sent a text message on August 8, 2022 stating his order looked to ship that week. On August 24, 2022 ******* texted us asking about his order, and threatened to reverse his charge. On August 25, 2022 we reached out to ******* to apologize for the additional delay and informed him that his order would ship on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. He responded saying "Too late." We then responded with an apology, explanation for the delay, offered an additional 10% refund, and a free cutting board. We also sent him photos of his piece and a video. On August 26, 2022 our shop manager called ******* 3 times throughout the day leaving voicemails. On August 27, 2022 we reached out to ******* through text and informed him that our shop manager was trying to reach him in regards to his order. We have issued a full refund and still he will not communicate with us. On August 31, 2022 my manager called again and left him a voicemail. Because we are a small family owned business, a big move can set us back a couple weeks. We have tried to reach out to ******* multiple times to make his experience with us as great as we can despite the delays. I have attached screenshots of our conversation and an email. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/31) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The Artisan Born company has both a Missouri caller identified number and a Sarasota, FL, number which they claim as a shared "shop cell phone." I have received calls and messages from both. However, after initially being told that my table "was being made in the shop and looked to ship the week of August 8, via text, I waited 16 additional days with no communication from Artisan Born that there were any additional delays. Only when I text on August 24, at 6:34 AM, that I was concerned this was a hoax and would like to know the status of my order, and then waited another 12 hours until 6:30 PM night with no response, did I contact my credit card company and reverse the charges. The next day, I was texted a video of a piece of wood, which could have been anywhere, and told "this is your table." Frankly, I don't trust this company or their willingness to deal fairly with me. That is why my credit card company will take care of reversing the charges so, I do not get scammed. And, my complaint will stand.
