On 5/18/22, Adam Rowe of R&R Home Services LLC, started work at my home. On 6/6/22, Adam text me that his grandmother had a stroke and would not be at work that day. This was after roughly 3 weeks of Adam not showing up to work quite a few days for various reasons, or was only there for a short time. Also, we had many verbal disagreements: he had "lost" his license so he couldn't get into my community's gate, he also never got it replaced in the time he was working, so I assume his license was actually suspended. We went over thoroughly what I wanted before the project began, and then he would try to fight me on the work, ie. raising the shower ceiling, adding in a bench and a niche in shower wall. The communication was awful. This led to my reasoning to ask that we part ways on 6/6/22. The work was not getting done in the time frame he originally mentioned, and after have MULTIPLE contractors come by after 6/6/22, they all stated that everything was not done properly or to code. There is no waterproofing on the walls, no pitch on the floor for the drain, and the drain is sitting ABOVE the floor tiles. Also, he asked me to write a check for a $240 dump fee, which should have been in his original estimate. However, I wrote the check and he never cleared the room of the debris. On 6/6/22, I asked him to simply take the debris to the dump and then get his tools and leave. He instead, took his tools, promised he would be back to take the stuff to the dump and I never saw him again. He blocked my number immediately. I tried to contact him and his girlfriend/office manager for a resolution but they are stating they did nothing wrong. The "work" all has to be removed and refinished, if not, I will have shower leaks, mold, and many more issues along the road. So I am asking for a refund of $4,003.50 (includes my deposit, dump fee, materials wasted that I have already had to repurchase). I would also like this to be seen so this stress can't happen to anyone else by Adam.Business response

As I do not know either one of the individuals not the one who made the complaint nor do I know the one in the complaint. that Miss ******* has a issue with. I'm not even quite sure what Miss ******* had done but I predominately mow lawns for a living. I do know for a fact though that there are several businesses that are similar to mine in name. And Jemi knowledge that's not anything unusual because it goes by county which is how I was able to obtain the name of our in our home services LLC but I do not know any of the parties in question here nor have I done any business at all whatsoever zero nothing in Orlando Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/06/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) This is the incorrect business. I never selected this business, I'm not sure why the BBB sent to this Company. The one I am speaking of is in Orlando. Please see previous submission. I included the address of the business. I would like for someone to contact me directly from the BBB. Thank you. I apologize the the owner of the business in Bradenton. This was a miscommunication on BBB's end.
