      Hello, I am filing a complaint on behalf of my 89-year-old catastrophically disabled father **** ****** I am his DPOA/HCS. He is a United States Navy veteran. He has advanced Parkinson's and was declared catastrophically disabled by the VA on 9/18/19 and needs someone to help him when he has to use the bathroom. Wagner Realty has a toilet in his condo that does not work. Dad's handy man Joe ****** (XXX-XXX-XXXX) has had to unclog the toilet a number of times, and *******'s Plumbing in Bradenton has also had to unclog it. *** ****** told me that it's a cheap $100 toilet with a small tank and doesn't have much power. My dad has had to pay *** for unclogging the toilet several times. In September 2021 *******'s Plumbing had to unclog the toilet. On 9/23/21 I spoke with **** at *******'s Plumbing. He said that **** the technician recommended that my dad have an ADA pressure assist toilet. Today, my dad had a BM in the toilet. When he flushed the toilet, it got clogged. ******* ******* one of our caregivers from First in Care in Bradenton, had to plunge the toilet. When someone goes BM in the toilet, the toilet frequently gets clogged. My dad rents from Wagner Realty, and Cathy P. is refusing to pay for a working toilet for him.

The continuing clogging has been an issue often caused by the use of non-flushable wipes being used and discarded into the toilet. We will certainly let Ms. ****** know as soon as we hear from the owner/landlord. We certainly understand the her frustration with this situation. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/11/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Cathy P is not being truthful. My dad, sister, and I are not putting wipes into the toilet. Also, a few months ago, Cathy P, while driving, told me that that the owner paid $600 for my dad's toilet. I recently talked to our handyman *** ******* and he said that my dad's toilet is a cheap $100 toilet. **** at *******'s Plumbing, after unclogging my dad's toilet, had recommended an ADA pressure assist toilet for my dad. I will be in touch with Cathy P/Wagner Realty about this problem. I will need to approve the type of toilet that is being installed. I would like a new ADA pressure assist toilet installed. Thank you. Consumer Response /* (2000, 14, 2021/11/29) */ We are currently negotiating with Wagner Realty. I would like to withdraw my complaint. Thank you.
