I asked for a quote in December and once I received it I signed it and and mailed it to Klein along with the requested deposit. The quote was for a reroof of my home in Port Charlotte, FL damaged by hurricane Ian. The work was done and the permit was signed off on on May 15th. I contacted Klein for a final invoice so I could pay them. The invoice they sent we was for substantially more than the agreed to amount. I have tried to contact them by phone and am told I’d get a call back. They have never called.Business response

My problem with Klein is regarding a flat roof attached to my primary roof. My entire roof is 17 sq and I was quoted $12,240 for replacement. To date I have received 15 sq replaced as there seems to have been an ordering error for the flat roof section so the day of install the flat roof was not completed. I have 5 full extra packs of shingles that were left over in addition to the couple of opens packs that are standardly left over. Klein continues to try and tell me I have to pay extra to get the roof completed, has told me $20,000 was written on their copy of my contract when I have $12,240 written on my copy per the project manager ********. I had initially asked about skipping the flat roof and I could do metal as it is a lanai but then it was pointed out( not by Klein) the flat roof is one continues plain form my main roof so that is not possible to do, we have to do it together as it does not sit lower like some lanais do. I repeatedly attempted to ask project manager if that would cost extra and he repeatedly told me no and the cost $12,240 was for the shingles. I did not know the flat section requires material other than shingles until after install. To date they have requested I pay $30,00 to finish the flat roof which has come down to $1,200 as I argue this case. I have advised I am happy to pay for any difference in material as they can return the 5 extra packs of shingles and get the other materials needed but it is not my responsibility to cover the cost of their ordering mistake and pay for the crew and dumpster as they are stating. We last discussed this on 4/20/23 and I sent follow up email on 5/8/23 and have yet to receive a response. I have tried for weeks to be understanding of this mistake but am taking friends suggestion to file here as my contract states $12,240 for the entire ******************************************** Venmo extra to install additional vents for bathrooms when it is also on my contract and should have been included per the office manager.Business response

I have emailed Mrs. *************************** waiting for confirmation in regards to the flat roof in the amount of $1200.00 .
This was oversight shingles were ordered not flat roof material she has not paid for the flat roof to be installed.
Once we receive this confirmation we will be more than happy to finish this project.

Klein Roofing has not completed the contracted work. I have contacted their work supervisor many times and when I could not reach him I left messages. I have been told by him that he would schedule people to come and complete the work and they never show up. I have also contacted their office and left messages there as well. I am worried about continuing water damage to my house because the facia and gutters are not complete and water is leaking into my house. This all resulted from Hurricane *** and now we have another Hurricane season quickly approaching. Klein Roofing has sent me invoices for the rest of the work and is telling me I will be forced into collections but they still have not completed the work.Business response

We are sorry to hear that she is upset with us.
We sent the crew twice to her residence to do the job and she turned them away . We were there to replace the damaged areas from hurricane *** and she wanted the whole house.
We have a team schedule for this weekend to do the soffit and fascia only.

I have sent the gutter crew out there twice and she stopped them sent them away due to we are only repairing the damaged gutters 70' and 3 downspouts. She is wanting the whole house done and that is not going to happen.
I will only install the damaged area not the whole house.

We contracted with them to replace the roof. Delays were plentiful and correspondences were ignored. I contacted the county after the permit request was rejected waiting on more information multi times. Our roof has been reshingled, and the paperwork has been on our door for inspection for over 3 weeks. They have not contacted the county to request/schedule the inspection. My texts and messages to them are not being addressed. Need help getting this next step started.Business response

Please make note, we did respond to the homeowner, roof has been re-roofed per contract, county has her schedule final inspection **** weeks out she was notified of this. there is no repair that needs done on this property.Customer response
