Blue Septic came to my property at approximately 11AM on 11/4 to pump my septic system. At 1145AM I received a call that they could not remove the lid, but would be happy to come back if I was able to get it removed. I returned home at approximately 130PM and found that the technician broke my lid and exposed my system to elements. At 140PM I called the office and notified them my system had been damaged and was told they would get someone to repair the lid. As I had not heard from them, and my system was now open to the rain, I had no choice but to source and complete the repair myself. When I contacted them on 11/11 at 930AM, I was quoted $245 for a poly repair and $215 for a concrete form repair. When I asked to have the pumping completed with a discount of the cost of the poly repair, as it had already been completed, Amy told me they would only discount $110.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2021/11/29) */ This response was taken verbally by BBB: We have never pupped his tank before, his manhole was completely sealed shut, we had a hard time accessing it. We offered to replace the manhole for him at no charge and to pump out tank for $340. He wanted us to pump for free. He advised us he already had it repaired. We asked him how much he paid and he refused to tell us. We offered $100 refund as a reasonable offer but the customer refused. If the customer would like us to review for further refund consideration, he will be required to provide the paid invoice for the repairs. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2021/11/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They quoted me $245 for a lid, with full knowledge that I was calling for a resolution to the damagethey caused. They made no attempt to repair the lid after damaging it, after I was told at 1:41PM on Nov 4 they would fix it. I had no choice but to repair it, as my exposed tank was flooding into my back yard. On Nov 11, at 9:33AM when I spoke on the phone I asked for a pump, less their quoted price of $245 for the lid, leaving a balance of $95, which they refused. It should be noted that they called me at 11:45AM on Nov 4, and only said they couldn't get it open, nothing about breaking the lid and leaving my system exposed to rain that continued for the next 3 or 4 days. It should also be noted that I emailed pictures of the damage shortly after the phone call at 1:41PM on Nov 4. Blue Septic Tank Service is not interested in pumping out the septic tank or doing any further business with this consumer.
