      I purchased a $2k top of the line laptop from best buy online. I needed it for work immediately. It arrived in a box that was crushed. When I opened the box, I found the laptop not protected and only in an envelope, loose to be hit thru shipment. When I opened the laptop, I found it in used condition with someone else's data and password. When I managed to reset the device, I found that bestbuy had not only lied about it being new, but also lied about the graphics card- as there wasn't the graphics card I paid for, but only the worst possibly graphics card. It couldn't run the software i bought it for. I had to leave for work- couldn't return it and and ended up losing the project and money because of this. I called best buy and was on the phone for 2 hours and they would not offer a solution. Best buy needs to be shut down. This is the worst performing corporate company I've dealt with. They are scammers and do not care at all what product they sell to their customers. They do false advertisement, have you pay for a more expensive product and then send you a lesser one. I want to be recompensed for the work I lost because of the way best buy lied.

      Giving one star as cannot give negative ones. The Geek Squad did not show up for my moms TV and Sound Bar installation on two occasions 9/19/23 and 9/21/23. When I called, they had no details, on why they didn't show or when they would come, and when I asked for a Manager, they refused to provide any names, or transfer me and I was told I would need to do that in the store in person. I found out they were using a 3rd party contractor from one of the Cust Serv Reps, but Best Buy Geek Squad Management is still responsible for ensuring that they show up and to contact us if they can't to reschedule. My mom didn't purchase thousands of dollars worth of equipment with them so I'm sure that is why they don't feel it is important to help her but she pays for the total tech yearly. I found another number to call which I thought was corporate, but they provided me with a number for their workers compensation department asking to provide info on the injury's and asking if it was a Best Buy Employee or Contractor. I know that they gave me an invalid number on purpose after calling 10 times and getting no where. My mom is 87 and was literally sitting by the phone for them to come on 2 days. I have pages of notes to provide, but want the Manager to get them. This is Unacceptable.
