I hired ******************************* on two separate occasions. The first contract was signed on August 18, ************************************* my backyard for a patio. The first contract was partially completed on January 15th, 2022. The week of January 17th, 2022 **** arrived at our house to collect the final payment for the first contract and then to discuss the second contract regarding our cancellation request. He stated he could hold onto the pavers that were ordered on our behalf for the second contract and sell them to potential clients. **** insisted, and we ended up taking his word that he would be able to sell them despite us being adamant on receiving a refund and to cancel the contract. The second contract was signed on November 17th, 2021 to replace my driveway with pavers. This contract was never completed. No work was done as well. I notified **** via text on January 13th, 2022 that I would like to cancel the contract for the driveway due to financial complications. From January 2022 to August 12th 2022, there has been no improvements in communication. We have reached out many times and scheduled multiple appointments. The last appointment was scheduled for July 8th, 2022. On that day **** sent my significant other a message stating that he will have to reschedule. My significant other messaged back to schedule a phone call for July 12th, 2022 at 11 A.M. Since then, no response. Currently, **** is withholding pavers that I paid for as well as a $3500 downpayment that was used to pay for said pavers.I want the refund of the $3500 dollar down payment from the second contract, the dirt request from the first contract satisfied, and also the one pallet of pavers from the first contract that was taken by ****'s company. My significant other and I have given **** multiple opportunities to resolve these issues. Nothing has been done. Unfortunately, all of this has led to filing a complaint with the BBB.
