On 8/17/21 we contracted with Keith at Four Seasons Fence to have a 96' Board on Board fence with a five foot gate installed for $2450. Before installation we called to have them put up an additional 30 feet for $690 more. The installation occurred in mid September while we were away. When we saw the fence we immediately called Keith and he came right down. We pointed out the fence was not level and the gate was sagging badly. He said that yes he could see the fence was not level from the street. He fixed the problem right then and we ordered an additional 74 ft on 9/28/21 for $1700. On 11/29/21 we noticed the gate was again sagging two inches. On 11/30/21, I called Keith and told him of the problem and off handedly mentioned that we never wanted a five foot gate but he talked us into it. He mumbled something and the line went dead. I called him back and asked if he hung up on me. He said he had and that we signed a contract for a five foot gate and that we are the most complainingist (his made up word) people ever and he would drop of a refund of the deposit on the additional 74 feet. After that conversation we went out and looked over the fence carefully and saw additional things wrong. 1. We opened the gate and noticed that blocks of wood were falling out. We determined that the three rails on either side of the gate were two inches short then filled in with little blocks. These blocks where what the hinges were screwed into. Since they were little blocks they split and fell out. The heavy 5 foot gate is now hanging from pickets only. 2. The homemade gate is supported by chainlink fence top rail that is very rusted. 3. The heavy gate is attached to the pickets with only two hinges. 4. On the rest of the fence, about 1/4 of the nails holding the pickets on, missed the rails. None of these issues was brought up to Keith because he hung up on me. I've never dealt with a company that would not stand by their work before now.
