I had a scheduled appt to fix a stuck valve in the backyard.. the technician was unfamiliar with the brand timer we had but said it was pretty simple. He turned on zone 1 at the front of the yard and noticed a faulty head. Fine we can add that to the list. He went to turn it off and it wouldn't turn off says it's broken and he'll have to check that valve as well. It wasn't broken when he turned it on then magically broke when he went turn it off. So he tells me that it is $85 to find the valve ( apparently I'm supposed to know where the valves are for each zone )for that zone, $120 to fix that valve plus the $55 service call. And since that wasn't the zone we called about it would b double that to fix the zone we originally called about. I questioned the tech as to the odd coincidence that the zone 1 just miraculously broke when he went to turn it off but go ahead and fix that one. He said he didn't want to work on my system and walked off the job.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/21) */ The tech left the residence to avoid a conflict with the homeowner. It is our policy to leave hostile situations, where swearing and inappropriate language is being used. The homeowner used explicit language towards the tech, calling him "*. *." She had accused our tech that he broke the valve (which later resurfaced in another phone call that "the valve was not stuck or broken. He just didn't know how to use the timer" - per the homeowner). The office attempted to reschedule the homeowner, and assured her we would send another technician out. She refused. She was being rude to Mariah on the phone and there was nothing else we could do to make her happy. Her desired resolution states "repair, finish the job, contact by business" which is what we were attempting to do by rescheduling her. If she's not willing to be rescheduled with another tech, what else are we supposed to do?
