I have a recent leak (December 2021) in my property after a few days (less than a week) Alans came to fix a major issue that started back in 2019 when I purchased my roof with them and they finally decided to fix it. I called them the week of Christmas to explain that after the work they did, a new leak showed up on the ceiling inside my house, which after numerous calls they came and fixed the same area they worked a few days before and took photos of the inside ceiling to discuss with management how will that be covered. After coming back from holiday vacations the first week of 2022, I had contacted Alan's to get an update on the resolution for the damages on my ceiling, which again after numerous calls, they contacted me back on 1/11/22 around 7 pm to inform me they will not cover any of the inside damages as those were caused by the A/C venting, which it was the reason the came the first time as the venting was removed and they had to put shingles on the roof to cover the hole. I have insurance with Alan's roofing which would cover all these damages, caused by the poor quality of their job. I also have proof, documents for all these issues with them since they were contracted. I am seeking them to finish the job as I have already covered out of my pocket other expenses related to this that they didn't want to assume under guarantee. I will be happy to expand on issues from back 2019 and does a sequence of events.

Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/02/24) */ Contact Name and Title: **** B. / Sales Manage Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: **********@gmail.com Alan's Roofing is a certified roofing contractor in Florida, we are not an HVAC installation company. The problems this client has been experiencing for the last 3 years was due to a poorly designed HVAC system that had duct work coming out of the main roof and an external duct running to their Florida room. Alan's Roofing has been out several times to try and prevent the duct work from causing leaks. Recently, this customer had the duct work removed, Alan's Roofing went back at no charge to the client and repaired the two holes created in the roof by the removal of the duct work. We did have to go back several days later as a new leak was identified where the lag bolts had penetrated the roof from the old duct work. Alan's Roofing does not know when the damage to the ceiling occurred since the duct work has been leaking for years, but out of Customer service Alan's roofing will honor the clients request and issue the client a check for $100 to cover paint and texture to repair his ceiling. Consumer Response /* (2000, 13, 2022/02/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I do accept the offer as at this point I just want to end this situation. However, I want to clarify that the duct leaking was initiated after Alans Roofing was hired for the roof job. It is very sad to know how the try to justify their responsibilit and other expenses I had to cover due to their poor work. I just hope no future leaks happen and they try to use the no longer existing duct as an excuse.
