A/C *** installed air conditioning unit over 4 years ago. ******* County HAS NOT APPROVED THE INSTALLATION DUE TO WRONG ELECTRICAL HOOKUP.THE SERVICE CREW HAS BEEN BACK AT LEAST THREE TIMES TO COORECT PROBLEN BUT HAVE FAILED TO DUE SO.AVOID A/C *** PLUMBING IF YOU ARE SMART.BAD NEWSReview from John S

They put in a very expensive system that worked OK for about two weeks until the condensation tray overflowed through our garage ceiling. They agreed to take the wet drywall out and install new, They had a guy take out the drywall but he never came back to install new drywall. This happened before Hurricane Ian. I have called like fifteen times and get the runaround from Linda: “Oh, the drywaller didn’t call you? Let me check.” Don’t believe them if they say, oh, this guy was not one of our customers or whatever. Run, don’t walk, away from these folks as fast as you can. There are great companies around who deserve your business. Not these folks.

Buyer beware!!! Never gave me an estimate and charged $510.00 to change out the outside fan under warranty. 3 no show appointments and then called me 4 times in 2 days trying to collect without an invoice... Price gouging after ***... 30 minute job and free motor... What a joke.Review from paul o

We moved to Cape Coral, FL last year and our home and were in need of a new A/C system. The previous owner of the home recommended A/C Joe (I'm really unsure as to why he suggested them). They came out and installed our unit on a Friday, and the system stopped working the next day. We called them for assistance and they blamed our A/C unit dysfunction on a short circuit caused by a lightning strike. This may or may not have been the cause of our problem. While we waited for them to come back out, we had to reserve a hotel room (as it was 100ish deg w/ 100% humidity) at the end of June 2021.
When they returned, they recommended surge protectors, which were never mentioned to us at initial install. According to them, lightning storms frequently destroy home A/C compressors in SW Florida. I agreed to pay for the install of 2 surge protectors (around $400 with labor). Then they charged us for a new A/C compressor (which we later found out- should have been covered under warranty (this was another $1,600).
Several months went by and our AC unit stopped working (again). A/C Joe wouldn't return to our home to help us out, so we got a hold of ************************* They were awesome. Upon their inspection, the discovered that the pipes that carry the Freon were never welded/connected appropriately; so all of the Freon leaked out. $700 in repairs to fix this issue.
$2,700 in additional charges, outside of what we spent to have them install our new system- $5,800.
1. If you live in Cape Coral/Fort Myers, FL, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH A/C JOE.
2. We had great service/explanations from *************************
3. Lessons learned- there have been several instances of businesses/establishments trying to screw us over (as new residents in Southwest Florida). Don't hire anyone/any business that is new to the area/hasn't been around for 20-30 years- taking advantage of new residents is a common practice here.
