On 8/22/2022 I was given a proposal for a full pool screen replacement. On September 8 an online check for $500 was delivered to this company for permits and engineer design as per instructions given by *************************. I was told at that time it would be about 3 weeks to begin. Unfortunately, the hurricane came before the install and I had considerate damage to my present screen. I understood the problems companies were having so I decided to be patient. But it is now over six months which I find to be way beyond patient. When called or emailed they they fail to call back or reply to email on all but one occasio. That one time which was over a month ago she had to get with her Dad and would let me know when the install would take place. Never heard back. Very poor business practice on their part. I was told by other companies they now do like the proposal given to me and are waiting for me to back out because now they are charging much more and taking clients that that contracted months after mine. I refuse to back out and will take these people to court if necessary. I am not asking any more than for them to actually do the work they contracted for and do it promptly. I have been more than fair with them. They should do the same with me.Business response

We have pulled the permit in December and have the materials on hand. At this time there are other jobs in front of his and he will have to be patient while we complete those jobs and get to his.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have been patient for at least 8 months. Plus I find it hard to believe Mr. ****************** had 8 months of work on his books when he took my contract before the hurricane. Telling me there are other jobs to be done before he gets to mine is very vague. That could mean 3 or 20. I am not asking for much. What I want is a date you intend to start my job (two or three weeks, not months) and a quality job that will make both of us happy.

We have 4 other jobs Sir, we waited 5 months for you to send us your deposit. You signed the proposal in March, we did not receive your deposit until Sept. ************************* Permitting offices were closed for only Hurricane Replacements. We received your issued Permit December 2022. YES, we do have a tremendous back log. You may not understand. You do not work in this field. We are just as frustrated if not more so. If you would like we can cancel your contract and you can start over with a new company. Personally, if I felt the need to contact BBB I would want a different contractor. Knowing that we have been in business over 40 years and this is our first complaint, you can make that decision.
