Cobalt Inspection Services Inc Response

*************** is a new contractor and new to the area. We had a inspection time for his customer at 1pm sharp. The home owners were fantastic, but upset that their contractor was not present. I conducted the inspection, gathered all of our information and had to wait for ********* to show up to the property so he could "pay in cash" for our inspection after the homeowner able to contact him.
During the initial phone contact with ********* after the inspection on site, he was extremely upset and used foul language to express his anger that myself and my company did not " call him beforehand " to tell him when to show up after we had already scheduled with him for a 1:00 inspection appointment.
********* showed up 45 min later to make his payment and was EXTREMELY SHORT with me, and threatened to "never use your company again", which is totally fine and respectful.
I arrived back to my office afterwards to find my office manager being berated by ********* over the phone as to why he was not called by my staff to remind him of our appointment. He was extremely disrespectful to my office manager, name calling her and calling myself a liar that, "I did not gather the information" during the inspection. I then took over the phone call and expressed to him that all information was gathered appropriately and his response was irritate. Name calling, and physical threats ensued. After declining to "meet him in the street for a boxing match" he then threatened to come to my home, "finding my information online". I immediately ended the phone call and blocked his number.
Being in the construction industry here in SWFL for over 25 years, 15 of that as a General Contractor, I have never had another contractor act so unprofessionally and disrespectfully. Realizing that he probably treats his customers in the same manner, I was quick to conduct the home owners Wind Mitigation Report. It was sent within 2 hours of the initial inspection to all parties, including *********.
It was important to me that the home owners knew that my company, having an amazing reputation within our community, could trust us to get our job done no matter what differences myself or ********* had.
As new contractor and a newcomer to our community, It is my only hope that ********* learns from this experience to better serve his customers in the future and realizes that all people deserve respect no matter their gender or ethnicity.
