Like the other complainant, I also have a tripping hazard but that is small. I paid Caloosahatchee Marine $40,000.00 to repair/ replace my dock and lift. Final $10,000.00 was May 23, 2023. I was already back at my CO home for summer, so I had a friend look it over and hand the the final $10,000.In September my friend stopped by to check on the house and noticed most of the lift had fallen in the water. It had never been used and no substantial storms. On 10/5/23 Caloosahatchee Marine workers pull my barnacle encrusted dock pieces out of the river.Constantly assured by the owner it will be fixed. First promise was that it would be fixed prior to my arrival 11/28/23. Next promise was before my daughter's visit at Christmas. 11/30.23 text "My guys are taking the lift to Fix Marine Warehouse and they will fix everything"3/6/24 workers were going to put on barnacle encrusted bunks. I asked them to stop because no one would park a boat on such a surface. The workers agreed.3/7/24 Text from owner "Bunks are on and new motor is on. When electrical is hooked up we will come level the bunks. " This implies that electrical is something I need to arrange and pay. So much for the fix everything promises. Called the electrician who did the original work. He had to rewire from the control box to both motors as the dock trashing in the water broke most of the conduit. Paid him $1,050.00 cash. Went to Fix Marine and purchased new rubber for the bunks.Texted 3/12/24 "I have new pieces of rubber next to the bunks on the seawall. **** hooked up electricity yesterday... Can we finally be done?"3/18/24 No response yet, waiting resolution. What should happen is bunks installed with new rubber, tripping hazard should be fixed and I should be reimbursed $1,170.00 paid for electrical work and rubber bunks. It was 100% an installation mess-up and the owner should stand behind his work. I spoke to a former employee/ manager who said he would testify to that if I took it to court.Business response

This have been corrected at contractors cost even though lift went through a storm without being properly secured.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The business did not fully stand behind their product and installation. 40MPH winds should not knock a boat lift off the pilings. Thought I was saving money, got burned.
Sincerely,

August 30 we had Hurricane ****** pass by ********** and made landfall near ****************** in the ******** region as a Category 3 storm sustained winds of up to 115 mph, causing significant flooding and wind damage to the area.
This storm went by here and your lift was just hanging in the wind. It was not tied down or secured atall and you were out of town for months.
We repair at no cost then this is how we are thanked.

I signed a contract in November of 2022 with Caloosahatchee Marine Contracting Group to repair my dock which was damaged by Hurricane ***. The contract was in the amount of $18,000. The repairs were completed in November. I was not present to inspect the work but ****, company *******, assured me repairs were done in good order. Upon hearing that I paid the bill. Upon returning to ******* in early December 2022 my visual inspection revealed the work was not satisfactory. The deck was sinking and causing to 1 inch trip hazard. Upon contacting ************************* by email regarding this matter he responded by email that **** will come by and take care of this for you. That date was December 21, 2022.I have contacted or attempted to email **** and **** numerous times. Both indicated they would take care of this matter when they had a job nearby. They have had jobs in area and yet this work has not been corrected. **** is no longer with the company and **** has not returned any of my numerous phone messages. It is my understanding that they need to install a header and that this is a relatively simple fix for the sagging platform. I want them to honor their written word that they will perform the corrective action necessary to provide a level deck on my dock.Business response
