              On January 6, 2022 I signed a contract with Martini's Concrete & Painting to paint my pool deck and the entire interior of my home (walls and trim) The total contract was for $19,000 and a $3,000 deposit was given at that time. (check ***** cleared on January 10, 2022). As per the contract a check for $2,000 was given at the start of the pool deck painting (check ***** cleared on February 28, 2022). While the workers were painting the pool deck, they asked if we would be willing to have some of the interior painted beginning on February 28th. We agreed and removed all of the contents of the office so that the work could begin there. No one showed up and we were told that scaffolding was not available to begin the project. Finally on March 4, 2022, I heard from Darren M. that he was no longer willing to honor his contract and that he will not return our deposit money.

              In May 2021, I entered into a contract with Martini to repair the cracks in driveway and to paint driveway. I had planned to be out of town when the work was done. When I returned, the work had been done. The patching of the cracks was pitiful at best. His worker came to collect balance owed. I told him I'd pay when job was done correctly. Job was re-done, however it did not look like Martini said it would I paid balance because I was convinced it was as good as it was going to get. Within a few months, the cracks reappeared and the paint began to peel off. I tried several times to contact Martini. He finally called me back but pretended to be someone else. Said he was with a realty company who had been assigned Martini's old number (however Martini's message still came up when I called!). Told me Martini had sold the business. I found out Martini has "retired" and gone into the real estate business. I'd advise anyone seeking to have work of any nature done to check the business with the BBB.

              , there is a one year warranty on the work which has passed and he never called prior to that , . and no warranty on cracks as the were existing and we just caulked them and if concrete continues to shift the cracks will come back obviously . I am no longer doing painting and concrete . I am sorry his existing cracks came back but I wrote on his contract that they would come back . I just painted his drive way , its not a miracle cure that will take away cracks , if he wanted that he should have replaced the driveway for 10 times the price . we cleaned his driveway and caulked the cracks and painted the driveway . I kinda feel bad for the guy at his age not being able to afford to replace his driveway but thats what it needs to permanently get rid of cracks forever and he just wanted it cleaned and painted to look better than the mess it was when we got there . He was happy when we were there and did the work . Anyway like i said its out of warranty and we are no longer in the business and would not do work for this fellow anyway.

              Well...... Yes, I realize it is past 1 year and out of warranty. However the work that was done began to degrade within months of the job completion. I just thought Martini may honor his work and do the right thing, but I can understand why he is no longer doing painting and concrete. I can't find where it says the cracks will come back on the contract. The cracks were not caulked, he used a product called Kover Krack, which is a patching compond. Martini made no mention of the paint (he told me it was a stain) peeling off as it is now. We could afford a new driveway, but he told me he could repair it satisfactorily. I was not happy when they were here and did the work. As I originally wrote, the fellow came to collect balance, I wouldn't pay until he again patched the cracks, which weren't that big to begin with, and re-stained the druve.
              I have learned to investigate anyone who I hire to do work. The BBB is a good source. Wish I had read Martini's reviews before we hired him.
