The customer had a water heater that was changed out and the newer one needs changed out again after the one year parts and labor warranty has expired and past the date and it is still has a manufacture warranty but that only covers the water heater tank its self not the labor and pipe and fittings needed which the customer does not want to pay for and is upset but we only install the tank we dont make the products, I apologize for any inconvenience.

I called about having a hot water heater installed, got prices fir a standard heater and an on demand water heater.we decided to have plumber install the tankless one.called back and placed order.was told I had to have an electrican connect it,,l replied that an electrican was coming out the same day the plumber was.tankless was installed, plumber stated that was a good place to have it because it was right next to existing wire hook up,but I would need to have a 30 Amp breaker installed..when the electrician came in to look at water heater,he stated it couldn't be hooked up,because it needed 2 50 Amp breakers and new wiring..and heater shouldn't have been installed without electrican being here at time of heater install..the tankless cost me $2,000.00,,which was a good price..the electrical hook up is $3500.00..we can't afford that,,had to take out a loan for it..if I had known it was going to cost that much I would have bought a standard water heater. Wife called to complain, the person on the phone lied to her and told her I was told the wires and breakers would need to be upgraded,,HE DID NOT TELL ME THAT...

Business response taken verbally by BBB:

Prior to the contract being signed we advised the customer they would need to have an electrician hook up their system as they would need to replace both the wire and the breaker. We are not responsible for whatever price the electrician provided to them to do the job.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Yes I was told that an electrican was needed to hook it up.But was also told that the 30amp breaker, and wiring that was here for previous water heater was perfect, and in right spot..Electrican had to put in TWO 50amp breakers,,and completely new wiring..

      Sincerely,
