State of FL vs Rocco Zaldivar 22-CF-000439
On or about January 7, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit in and for Lee County, Florida (Case # 22-CF-000439), the owner of this business, Rocco Zaldivar, pleaded guilty to one felony count and one misdemeanor count against him related to his marketplace conduct.
The charges were as follows:
1) Contracting Without a License, F.S. 489.127(l)(f), First Degree Misdemeanor
On or about November 09, 2020, in Lee County, Florida, did unlawfully engage in the business or act in the capacity of a contractor or advertise himself, or a business organization as available to engage in the business or act in the capacity of a contractor without being duly registered or certified, contrary to Florida Statute 489.127(l)(f)
2) Scheme to Defraud, F.S. 817.034(4)(a)2, Second Degree Felony
Between November 09, 2020 and December 12, 2020, in Lee County, Florida, did knowingly scheme to defraud one or more persons, and did thereby obtain property in the aggregate value of $20,000 or more, but less than $50,000, contrary to Florida Statute 817.034(4)(a)(2), against the peace and dignity of the State of Florida.
As a condition of Mr. Zaldivar’s plea, he received 12 months probation and paid restitution of $28,875.60.
