Called the office requesting a water system cleaning. I was quoted $100. The technician, ***, who came to do the work, said he did not have the equipment needed to perform the cleaning. He added salt to my water system, which he said was included with the cleaning as part of the $100 service. *** told me a second visit will be needed to complete the work at no extra charge. He had me sign to authorize the $100 charge. Later that week, a second technician calls me after he finishes the cleaning, and tells me I will be charged an additional $250. I never agreed to or authorized an additional $250. They charged my card for a total of $350 after telling me the cleaning would be $100.Business response

This is a mistake on the part of Water Medic. We are going to credit the customer $250. We have already called and left the customer a message today to reconfirm the credit card number.

Better Business Bureau:Thank you for your letter regarding my complaint against Water Medic of Cape Coral.I appreciate your efforts in making contact with the company. The owner, *******, reached out to me this Monday and offered to make things right by refunding the charge for $250. The credit just showed on my credit card as posted yesteday. I responded to ******* to let him know that his response was satisfactory.I would like BBB to know that this was a single mistake after years of impressive service from this company. It appears to be an issue with their billing process that ******* promised to change going forward. ************ has always treated me very well in the past and I am confident this will not happen to myself or someone else in the future. I am extremely satisfied with their response and would like to close this complaint.Your assistance in this quick and positive resolution is truly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time and efforts.

. On 7/25 instead of getting our usual doorknob note that monthly salt service was done, there was an estimate for a job for $350.00 because apparently we needed a ***** value rebuild kit, on that estimate, it was stated that the salt tank was filled to the top with water, and it would need 5 bags of salt (so our normal service wasn't even completed for July). So I called Water Medic and told them that I would approve the $350 job, and to make sure that they would come back either on Thursday or Friday since my husband is off work so we could make sure the job was done, and that we could pay for it as well. The clerk stated she "couldn't" find the estimate on file, but would still send a request to the tech. On 7/31 (which is a MONDAY) I came home to find another estimate at my door. But the amount was now $3,665.00. Once again it's stated that the salt tank is filled with water, and needs salt. No invoice, no clear explanation that the $350 job was done, or if our tank had salt, because they didn't even come the days I had requested. A week goes by, and I told my husband to follow up to see if the job was done, if the salt service was done, and it slipped his mind. So in addition to the text message today, I received a call from my MOTHER IN LAW stating that someone called her from Water Medic, asking to speak to my husband (we haven't lived with her since we purchased our home 15 YEARS AGO) , and when she asked why, the lady stated it was a personal manner. So I called water medic, and spoke to the infamous **** who when I confronted her on why would she call someone's family member, she stated she tried to ****** my information because my husband was "ignoring her texts and calls". What company does this. And when I explained why would I pay for salt service for July and August when it's clear on the estimate they can't put salt in the tank, her answer was, I'm not a tech.Business response

Hello Mr and Mrs *********************** is *********************** the owner of water medic of Cape coral ***.
Today or later this week whenever someone is available we would like to meet you at the property to test the iron level from well. In the past your well was a *********** with no iron but now the well has changed and we need to look at your options. The aerator tank should be removed and replaced with an iron removal filter . This iron is causing problems with water softener valve head. At this time we can go over the work done and estimates. Do not worry about paying any bills from water medic of Cape coral *** until we meet. When can we meet? Call my cell phone or text
