  This company has had my deposit of $5,000.00 since 10/15/22 They had a subcontractor come here on 01/10/22 and stated the job would be complete in six weeks which I thought was a considerable amount of time for a small job (Deck) The sub ripped off my roof and as of today 03/15/22 my roof is still off and my house has taken in buckets of water ruining my painting, surround sound speaker and walls. Ryka also made me pay for a beam after the contract for the job was signed. I can t sleep in my bedroom as the wall is out and it is cold. The chaos in my home is ridiculous. I have been waiting for months for my screen to be installed, which has caused the price to go up. At this point, the sub has not been on the job for two days and I would like to fire this company and hire a company that will complete my job in a satisfactory time and manner. They can pick up their door and give me a refund!

  Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/17) */ The total project is $27,600 and we have only received the initial deposit of $5,000. We have tried to be accommodating to the client but yes the weather has been difficult to work around and their were some unforeseen repairs inside the existing walls that had to be addressed once we opened them. We would love for this project to have been completed by now and are working to get it completed asap. Bottom line is that if there are any damages during our renovations we will always correct them and our clients are always covered because we carry full GL insurance along with requiring all of our subs to carry the same. Mishaps will always happen during construction but the good companies will always stand behind their work as we do. Which will be satisfactory as I have been delayed for 5 months due to the lack of progress on this project. If Ryka could not complete the job due to their work load they should have stated so before accepting my deposit. I have no problem paying for the job I contracted, however I expect to be treated fairly which is why I had to get the BBB involved. Thank you BBB for your time and assistance with this project.
