If we could give a minus rating , we would!! We made an appointment for 11/13/23. We stated that one of the battery cables and gas cap needed to be replaced. We also needed the fuses checked for trailer light function. We left the truck and received a call about 3 hrs later. My husband was informed that yes, cable and gas cap needed replaced and that it was a relay switch that had gone bad. My husband was told that the labor would be about $900!! This was without parts. My husband refused and said we would come get the truck. When he got there, the bill was $358.90!!! I read the invoice when he got home. It stated that customer states battery cable broke and needs terminal end. 1hr diagnostic -$159.95. Next was listed trailer fuse no tail lights. Customer declined. 1hr diagnostic -$159.95. Next was gas cap needs replaced. Customer declined. No charge. When he told them the charges were ridiculous, they told him he was only charged for 2 diagnostics not 3!!. There should have only been a charge for the diagnostic on the fuses/relay switch. Lift the hood, you see the broken cable- 30 seconds. Open the gas cap, it doesn't shut right- 10 seconds. They also added, shop supplies -$32.00!?. Admin fee-$2.45. environmental -$2.00!? These people are thieves!!!

On 8/22/23 called for an appointment to get 2 rear shocks put on my truck. Talked to Justin and got the appt for the next day at 8 am. 8/23/23 at 8 am gave the keys to Jake and requested he check the AC as it wasn't cooling enough, and the ABS light comes on sometimes. He said the truck would be ready that afternoon or the next day 8/24/23. He called later in the afternoon to say that the rear end seal was leaking and should be replaced. est cost $350. I gave the OK for the fix and he still said the truck would be ready on 8/24. Afternoon of 8/24 Justin called to say the bearings in the rearend were worn and needed changed. Cost around $750. I asked if they had all the parts for the fix and he said YES, and the truck would be ready on Saturday the 26th. Called Monday the 28 and was told that they were waiting on parts???? FOR WHAT? You said you had the parts on hand. Called 8/30. Parts are in and the tech was working on it. Called 9/02 and Jake said the tech would be in at 9:00 to finish up. Called 9/05 and Jake said the tech never showed on Saturday and he was having employee problems. 9/08 called and was told by Jake that a new tech was putting the truck back together. Called 9/11 and was told that they were waiting for a bearing puller from AutoZone so they could pull the rearend bearings. WHAT!!! You said you were finishing up but in reality. You haven't even started!! That was day 20. The lies continued for another 18 days making it a total of 38 days until I got a tow truck to pick up my truck up and take it to another mechanic. My differential and gears were in the backseat and the drive shaft was in the truck bed. The bill for this mess was $995.17. They only installed 2 shocks and the labor charge was $496.00. This is not over as I'm contacting Consumer affairs because I'm 79 years old and I think they took advantage of me because of my age.

I bought a 2013 Ford F 150 at Plattner Ford Dealer. The truck is completely rusted underneath. I found out a few months after purchasing the truck. I went back to talk to a manager and asked for them to something about it but they refused. They scammed me by selling me a truck that is a danger on the road. I kept driving the truck praying it would hold up. But unfortunately about 6 weeks ago the front wheel broke off and i almost got into an accident. I had the truck towed to a car repair shop where they assessed the truck and told me the bad news saying they would not even touch the truck because all of the underneath is crumbling off and is about the fall apart. Now I had not car but stuck with a still 24,000 dollar car loan and had to go out to buy another car to get around and get another car loan. Plattner Ford is bad business! They are a total scam!!!

I would do a zero star if I could-We took our truck here for warranty work (come to find out they are NOT an authorized dealer). We drove our truck there and it left on a tow truck. We were lied to about everything. Treated with disrespect and even the tech that worked on our truck said he was glad it didn't run. I have NEVER been anywhere so unprofessional in my life and I'm almost 50 years old and own a business myself. How this place is still around- beyond me! Save yourself and never go here!!!!!

I wish I would have know about this Plattner's horrible reputation before I ordered my Ford Lightning online. They turned what was supposed to be a dream come true for me, into a living nightmare. I ordered my Ford Lightning over 2 years ago from Ford Motor Company's website. They asked me to choose a dealership to have it delivered to. I almost went with a big city dealership, but as a small business owner in the area, I thought it would be nice to support another small business, so I ordered through Plattner's Chiefland Ford Dealership (he owns several dealerships and I am leaving this review on every dealership he owns), so they would get the credit and the money from the sale. That was a massive mistake.
About 3 months before my delivery was scheduled to arrive, I started hearing horror stories that several dishonest dealerships were starting to add massive markups of $5k, $10k, and $20k on Lightnings that people had ordered. It got so bad and was starting to hurt Ford Motor Company's reputation so badly that they had to send out a letter forbidding the dealerships to do this and promising repercussions if they did. That was enough for most dealerships to stop adding the markups.

So after hearing about all of this, I went to the dealership to get a commitment from them that they would not do this to me. They promised that they don't treat their customers that way, and I didn't have anything to worry about. I was relieved.

When my truck arrived at the lot I got an email stating that my truck had arrived, and that I needed to be prepared to pay an additional $44,000 over the MSRP if I wanted to take possession of my truck. I couldn't believe it!.

I went down there to talk with them in person and told them it was some kind of mistake. They said they were sorry, but the owner, Mr ********, said to mark up the vehicle and there was nothing he could do about it.

This is a disgusting way to treat another person.

PRICE GOUGING and LYING. We were searching for a new ford f250. On their website Plattener's Chiefland had the vehicle listed for ~$60k so we were willing to drive from NC to FL to purchase this vehicle. They told us over and over again that they would wait to share paperwork until we made the 9 hour drive there, but we insisted they share the final price sheet with us before we would drive there. When the sales rep FINALLY shared the price sheet after days of back and forth conversations, there was an additional $13k on the sticker price for "appearance package", and most of the items listed on the appearance package weren't even available for a diesel truck (which we were buying), diesel was exempt from receiving the additional options. We said we did not want to purchase the appearance package. We were told they would not sell it to us without the appearance package. I cannot imagine how much more frustrating this would've been if we actually listened to them about the paperwork and didn't insist on receiving it before traveling there. After learning of the additional $13k on the price, we simply said we weren't interested then and that we would keep looking elsewhere, ending the conversation. We continued to receive rude texts from the sales rep even after we ended the conversation saying "how could we expect to pay sticker price" "everyone is charging $10-15k over sticker price" "we were not easy customers to work with" it was just rude. He continued to try to call us, despite our asking to cease communications. This business needs action taken against it. Do not waste time with them.

PRICE GOUGING ALERT. I am in the market for a new Bronco Sport Big Bend. I drove close to an hour to Plattner's Chiefland Ford. They have one in stock with a MSRP of $31,520. When the sales rep brought the car out for me to test drive, I noticed next to the Ford Window sticker a second sticker with "dealer options" -- $5,000 "Market Adjustment" There was another line item for about $895 (doing from memory). The sales rep said that was for Lo-Jack they installed on the vehicle. Then there was some other charge of almost $3,000. I realize that we are in strange times and the days of buying a vehicle for less than the MSRP are over, but I draw the line when a dealer wants to tack on almost $9,000 in very questionable charges!!! The $31,520 vehicle very quickly shot up to about $40,000. I called Ford Corporate, they assigned me a case number and promised to look into this. Ford (as well as GM and others) are very concerned about dealers price gouging. They may punish dealers by cutting back their future inventory. I will reluctantly pay MSRP, but I refuse to pay such insane add-ons. Don't waste your time at this dealership.
