Curt came out on May 5, 2021 and gave me a quote to install a fence. I gave him half down. And we set a date to install the fence. Due to certain unforeseen expenses with installing my roof repairs. The money that I had to complete the fence that needed to be paid at the time of completion went to the roof and I had to pause the construction of the fence. After a week I requested a refund and was refused stating that he had already purchased the fencing and it was in his warehouse. I later tried to give him another $2000 towards the balance but he refused to take it as he was going to have knee surgery he has not contacted me he has not done anything. He kept telling me he was going to get the yard cleared but no one ever showed up and he still hasn't paid back the money that was originally given him or done any work. The total cost for the fence was $7658 and on May 5 I gave him $3829 with a balance owing of $3829 I really would like to have my fence installed but he won't do any thing that he's promised. At this point I just want a refund.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/04/13) */ Business response taken verbally by BBB: Deposit is non-refundable, and we will not complete the job with a partial payment. We will be willing to finish the job if she has the remaining amount ready to pay in full and can prove it with a money order. She can hold onto it until we are done and give it to us upon completion. Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2022/04/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Nothing on the paperwork states the deposit is non refundable. You do not get to make that up after the fact. See attached contract
