I hired cci to pour a 4 inch slab in my back yard. Per contract the slab was to be 4 inches and steel reinforced. The slab they poured is as thin as 3 inches in spots, has no steel reinforcements, and was installed incorrectly. The concrete is pitched towards a building and causes water damage. There are also multiple surface issues. They have been playing a game for 6 months trying to bandaid repair it, not showing up when they say they will etc. Finally ***** the owner agreed to replace slab. Then after a month of no work has now told me he's not going to replace the slab. I have been more than reasonable with trying to accommodate their schedule and be patient. At this point I do not feel comfortable with their work and would like a full refund so I can have the repairs done by a reputable company.Initial Complaint

On 6/22/22 we made a down payment to CCI Concrete for a ribbon driveway to be installed at our home. $300 for the down payment and $375 for the permit. CCI was unable to obtain the permit for the job that they'd proposed to us and made no effort whatsoever to brainstorm a solution with us. They said that they'd call us back but never did. Every communication following the denial of the permit was initiated by us as a follow up to a promised phone call that never happened. In August, after repeated instances of not following up as promised, we told them that we wanted our deposit back since they were unable to provide the work that they'd proposed and had no alternate solution. In October we sent them an email requesting our deposit back. On November 30th I called ***** and made an additional request by phone. She told me to call back in 2 weeks if we hadn't received our refund. Two weeks later I called her back as directed and she said she'd look into it and call me back "after lunch". I hadn't heard from her by 4:30pm so I called her repeatedly. She eventually sent a text message that she was in a meeting and couldn't talk. She refused to commit to a time when she COULD talk. I told her that I'd be at her office at 1pm the following day to pick up my refund check. I went to the office at 1pm the following day and the door was locked and no one answered. A couple of employees in a neighboring office said that they'd seen her leave just prior but hadn't seen her return. I slipped a note under the door to let her know I'd been there but heard nothing back from her.Initial Complaint

I have texted and called this company for over 2.5 months asking for a date when they will start the job putting a walkway and a retaining wall and all I got was different excuses why they can't start the work. First it was they didn't have the color and than 1 month later the ** of the company tells me he didn't see a order for the stain to do concrete stamping. And later they tell me they are behind on other jobs. And after pushing them just 2 weeks before the 3 months waiting they send me there contractor to tell me they can't deliver the job that was signed and agreed on the price and that it was going to be a lot more money than the sales person quoted me. So my husband and I told them our contract agreement is void since they can't deliver what they agreed upon.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
It should be noted that the company did not honor original contract price and requested more money. In addition they did not have the expertise to do the job as stated by their contractor . We canceled the contract and requested a refund which was ignored. I have received my deposit back thru a request through the credit card company
