Worst Accountants Ever. I would not recommend anyone to CRI for any accounting purposes. I used them for my personal taxes for 2021, which included a simple 1099 and a child tax credit. They charged $1,722.05. It shouldn’t have taken more than an hour to file my tax return, so I’m at a loss as to why the bill is so steep. When I inquired, I was told that all fees start at $1,000. At no time was I told this nor was it disclosed in our contract. They did not send me the proper paperwork to file my taxes. They sent tax forms that were 16 years old that included questionnaires about Hurricane Katerina. The tax form was dated at 2006. They did not include the pandemic era child tax credit, PUA, or any other covid related initiatives. It took over a month for them to respond to EVERY SINGLE email or phone call. Sometimes, months!!! What kind of service are they providing when it takes them THREE months to respond to a simple email? When I inquired as to the VERY steep bill and asked for an itemized breakdown - I was not given one. I was told part of the price was ‘new customer’ setup, there was an IRS rejection - that they NEVER alerted me to and never sent me proof of, and that there were ‘many questions’ with regards to my single 1099 return. All of the questions were in regards to the outdated paperwork they sent me. It should go without saying that clients should not have to pay for CRI's disorganization and lack of professionalism. They did not send the proper paperwork to do my 2021 taxes and then charged me for 'additional' questions which should have been included on that paperwork to begin with. This is unethical. Unprofessional. And incredibly frustrating. Stay away from these clowns!!
