      12/201 We discovered we had a leak from our upstairs bathroom. We called a local plumber who explained this leak was out of their scope of work and in turn, called Synergy to access the is***. Synergy showed up, had us sign paperwork (while our bathroom was still leaking) and give them a $2500 payment. They gutted my entire bathroom and the ceiling in bathroom below. After several days, we asked the lead contractor for itemization of all the charges and were continuously stonewalled. Clearly raising suspicions this was a scam. When the company told us we had to exclusively use their design team for the rebuild and we only had a tile allowance of $1.50 I demanded we see an itemized estimate and to no avail. We severed ties with Synergy due to the fact they werent transparent in their charges and had to hire an independent contractor to complete the work. Now 5/2023 Synergy is trying to *** us for an additional $16,000 AFTER they were paid the max ************ of $15,000 from our insurance company. This company is a scam and I have reported them to our insurance company and will be going on national television to report this company.

      Synergy Property Restoration is a disgusting "business". I had the ******************* of being referred to them by an employee of ************** named *****, who claimed that his bosses wanted to stop associating with them. I would later find out that this employee was not supposed to refer anyone to Synergy Property Restoration because they are extremely unprofessional. My kitchen flooded on 10/21, so I called Synergy. Two company representatives came to my house within the hour. ************************* and his co-worker mislead me into signing a contract and paying them $20,000 to restore my kitchen. My husband of nearly 17 years passed a month prior. This "business" took advantage of me while I was at my most vulnerable. I went back and forth with an employee of Synergy by the name of *************************** regarding my missing countertop and faucet. **** was extremely condescending and rude. I sent him text messages from another employee by the name of *******************************, stating he broke and took my kitchen islands granite countertop. This was done without my permission. **** never told me that Synergy was not going to replace or reimburse me $5,000 for my damaged property. They also broke my, at the time, brand-new facet. This company also did not provide me or my insurance adjuster, ***************************, with an invoice stating they kept over $17,000 out of the $20,000. This was after numerous requests. Synergy decided that they did not want to go through my insurance company anymore, so they kept my money. This was after I sent an enraged email regarding these heartless monsters posting my late husbands death certificate on their website. The owner (****) sent me a fake apology via email. This was the first time that I learned that he was the owner. As I stated earlier, Synergy is an atrociously unprofessional restoration company. Their customer service is nonexistent, as their only goal is to take as much money from their deceived clients as possible.

      Please review the attached documentation regarding our contract with *****************  In regard to the start of the issue with **************** she provided a copy of her husbands death certificate because he was listed on the insurance policy.  His death certificate document is required to be provided to the insurer as well as the bank once payments are issued regarding the claim.  **************** was upset that this document was visible on her job file portal.  (Synergy uses a job management software that allows only the homeowner and authorized employees of synergy see the documents in the file.)   This was not done to upset **************** intentionally; I immediately called her with a heartfelt apology. 

      In regard to the refund, she requested please review the document attached labeled ****** Final Refund, this payment was cashed and this matter is resolved from our standpoint.
