I bought a 25lb. bag of chicken feed from Pet Safari. This is the second bag that I had purchased from them. I think the first bag was purchased over a year ago and I had to return it because it smelled old and moldy and my chickens would not eat it. They did refund that purchase. I decided to try to purchase another bag of the same thinking that bad one may have been a fluke and that it probably won't be a recurring issue. I purchased the second 25 lb. bag in the morning of August 1st. I did not open the bag until Thursday the 3rd of August. It was the same old moldy smell. When the feed is purchased through Largo Feed store it smells like grain, not like the awful smell from this bag. I looked it up on the "My Pet Chicken" website about the feed smelling so bad ad they report that the feed should not be fed to the chickens because it will make them sick. So I took it back to Pet Safari and as soon as I walked in the door with it the worker (***) angrily said she had to speak to someone else (****) who comes in at 2 about this because it's the second bag I have returned and I bought it three days ago. So needless to say I did not get a refund. I asked the lady (***) to smell it and she would not. She replied "I am not going to smell that feed" If she had smelled the feed she would have clearly agreed the feed was bad. So I just left the bag there with my phone number on it because I was not going to use it. I was thinking the person (****) would have called me about it, but I did not hear back from anyone. That might have been good customer service. The feed was bought in good faith and I feel I should get the refund for it. I paid $19.00 for it at that store and the feed was clearly bad.
