I ordered a flower arrangement from Maria's Flowers on 5/5/21 to be delivered on 5/6/21. The original total for the purchase was $56.71 paid via their website. At 11:30am on 5/6 I attempted to call Maria's Flowers because I had not received an email confirming the purchase. From 11:30 until 4:15pm I was unable to reach via phone calls, the number just kept sending me straight to a message that said "This number does not currently have a voice mailbox that is set up". I also emailed Maria's Flowers using the email address provided on their website, all of my emails came back to me "email address incorrect/unknown". I was finally able to reach Maria via phone. She said she saw my order but it did not go through correctly and she would fix it and have the flowers delivered on Monday 5/9/21. The phone call lasted less than 5 minutes and I assumed the issue was resolved. On 5/9 the flowers were not delivered, but I was unaware until after business hours. I called Maria's Flowers on 5/10 and again was unable to reach anyone. I attempted to call between 10am and 5pm, at least once an hour, and was never able to reach a person just the message as before "This number does not currently have a voice mailbox that is set up". I tried again on Wednesday 5/11 to call, and again never reached anyone. I checked my bank account to see if possible the purchase had been canceled by Maria, however I found that I was charged AGAIN and it was a completely different amount than the original charge was. I was charged $64.20 and $56.71 on 5/6 the day the flowers should have been delivered and I spoke with Maria. I have checked out Maria's Flowers reviews online and I believe she is taking many many people's money and not following through with products and services. I still have not be able to contact Maria but I have disputed the charges with my bank.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/19) */ This response was taken verbally by the BBB: At this time we spoke with this customer and they advised that they received a refund at this time from John. At this time we feel this is not our as we can not find them in our system. There is another Maria shop in Clearwater and believe this is who the complaint is with. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/05/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have screen shots of Maria's Flowers website which shows their phone number and email address, both of which I also have photos of the phone calls I made to said number and an email I sent them to the listed email address. When I called on 5/6/22 I spoke with Maria, not someone named John. Maria said she saw my order, by looking up my name, and agreed to send the flowers on 5/9/22. The flowers were not delivered and I was charged twice, two different amounts. I have already disputed the charges with my bank which they are investigating and are pending. _________________________ Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/05/26) */ Chargeback has been issued to Mariaws Flowers for the amount of $56.71 by merchand for CC ending in ***8912. We won't contest this chargeback. Chargeback notification is attached. This issue is closed from our side. On April 30th, 2022 I placed an order for flowers to be delivered on May 6, 2022. The money was taken from my checking account but no flowers were delivered. When I called on Saturday May 7th, 2022 I was told they would be delivered that day instead. No apology for the mixup. They said it was a "paperwork" error and I asked whose fault it was. They said theirs and mine. What? I asked for a discount since they were going to be delivered on the wrong day and Maria refused. I said okay just cancel the order and I asked for a cancellation number. She said she didn't have a cancellation number for me until the computer worker came in. I still have not seen any credit in my bank and I would really like my money back since I got nothing for it. Maria is extremely rude and I should have read the reviews for the business beforehand. This seems to be a common problem where people don't get their deliveries and she is rude and hangs up on them. She should not be blaming the customers for her own problems.Business response

Consumer Response /* (2000, 6, 2022/05/12) */ After calling back several times I finally got my money back from John. Please keep an eye on this business because Maria is taking money for orders that she is not fulfilling and avoiding customers when they ask for their money back. Thank you.
