Three years ago, we needed to have a new drain field installed and because of the age of our septic tank, we had to have the entire septic system installed. AA Cut Rate installed the new system and everything was ok. A few months later, my wife was in the yard and her leg went through the ground above the septic tank. There was no marker or closing to where the lid was supposed to be. We called various time and never got a call back. We eventually forgot about it. We called to have our septic drained recently. The tech told me that I needed a new drain field and I informed him that his company installed a new system three years ago. He didn't say anything else. Our toilets are not flushing and the plumber just advised that the lid to our septic system is missing and it likely fell into the tank with the last draining. I have called and left a message with AA Cut Rate, but at this point, I'm not comfortable the work will be done correctly.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/11/10) */ I , as the owner have made multiple attempts and left one message with Ms. ****** over her concerns and have not received a response back . While it's not common , I have seen lids damaged or in need of replacement after three years on a septic tank . This is not a hard process to take care of and is very easily fixed if we have customers permission to enter the property . I must say a couple strange things that just didn't add up in the complaint . One being that someone had there leg go through the ground above the tank and to say that you "forgot" about getting it taken care of and the fact that we don't answer phone calls and apparently we were still called out to empty the tank AFTER the lid incident . I guess none of that really matters other than to say that we do respond to our customers concerns , and we're not getting a response from this customer when we try to respond to a concern and a very easy fix to the problem . We've been in business for over 50 yrs. in this town and you don't do that by not keeping customers happy . This will be the last time that I respond to this particular customer without having any communication back . It's a shame that people can just sit down and write anything and business owners have to waste our time responding to nonsense . Just a thought , maybe the BBB should start vetting the consumer better , to save everyone time . Regards , John T.
