    Agency imposes excessive penalties and deductions for missed shifts etc. that is far above other agencies. Agency takes no thought to the people that are actually working and performing patient care in these various facilities. Some of the facilities have real safety issues like unsafe nurse to patient ratios, COVID + patients that are not in isolation according to CDC guidance, and a hand sanitizer that actually left my hands discolored! I voiced several complaints while working at my last facility that fell on deaf agency ears. Their number one concern is making money off the backs of the labor personnel. This is just my personal experience with them.

    As a nurse owned agency and patient first organization, patient safety is our number one concern. I sincerely apologize for the experience that you've had with Hamilton Staffing Solutions.

    I just looked through our notes and it appears that your recruiter was apologetic regarding your experience at the hospital you were at. You asked to work out a notice due to concerns with patient safety, which your recruiter was in full support of, but then you rescinded that notice so you could stay at the facility until the end of your assignment.

    Good morning,
    . I did rescind my notice because I had already incurred significant expenses during the assignment. I spent almost $1000 weekly in order to obtain suitable lodgings in Kansas City Missouri ,35 miles from the hospital. In addition, I had endured single- degree temps and had to drive thru eleven inches of snow in one of the worst storms on record for the area, and realized that I only had 8 more assigned shifts to complete the assignment.
    You are wise to avoid my comment about the excessive penalties imposed by your company. Nurses need to be safe as well as the patients under our care, and our livelihood must be protected.
    Please reimburse the funds you have wrongfully deducted from my wages and thanks but no thanks for your tardy, hollow apology.

    As stated in a previous response, if you would like a copy of your signed contract, please contact our office via email at [email protected]. All missed shift penalties along with contract cancellation fees, if any, are clearly defined in the terms and conditions of your contract. There is no cancellation fee if you work a two-week notice, which you initially stated you would like to do but then rescinded it; even though you had already made multiple complaints about patient safety. After overlooking your own concerns for the patients, you then proceeded to call out incurring missed shift fees, eventually failing to return for your final week all together. If you believe the deductions and charges were outside of the terms of your signed agreement with us, please feel free to contact the Department of Labor and we will be happy to respond. I see from our records that this is not the first contract you have abandoned without notice.
    Hamilton Staffing has no control over the weather, and you chose an assignment in Missouri in January; nor do we have control over the arrangements you make for your own housing. You had the option of taking agency housing, but you opted for the tax-free stipends, again removing any control of the housing situation from Hamilton.
    You were reminded relentlessly by your recruiter to advise the charge nurse of your concerns regarding patient safety, which you neglected to do - screen shots of the conversations and text messages are available for your counsel or the DOL should they be required. We are also happy to post those on our BBB board along with a copy of your contract if you would like to continue. In view of the outlandish charges you have leveled against Hamilton Staffing Solutions, Inc., we have contacted our legal counsel for further advice regarding your defamatory and libelous accusations of theft.

    There was no need to return since my last shift was scheduled for March 17th per the schedule provided to me by the facility on January 21st before I even left the state of Georgia. You cannot just take my money and expect to prosper.
