They had a rough time during COVID like *every* small business did I'm *sure*, during that time - I was *homeless* in *************** - begging them to work with my brother - to help get me back - even selling my equipment if they had to, no response, I had to assume - I was *just a customer* *not* a friend nor even a human being in desperate need of help, long story short, I get back, no longer homeless, without transportation however - asking them to put me in-touch with locals near Davie so that I may ride-share with them to the Park since I'm a *lifetime member there*, no response again ??. My mother *****, before she passed away, gifted me lifetime membership at the Park for **** USD; a *beautiful* gift *IF* they had treated me as a human being and friend.I cannot believe the staff at the Park will somehow magically treat me as a respected friend and human being considering how they ignored me when I was homeless in ***************; I still think of them as friends and give them the benefit of the doubt; I believe they know the right thing to do about the membership fee if indeed I'm unwelcome there as I feel I am.Business response

To whom it May ****************** the past 8 Years we have received emails from *********************, emails that were sent did not pertain to any of the services that we provide at The Florida Ridge
*******************. We have however stored ***'s Glider and maintained his membership status.The Florida Ridge has not turned down any of the activities that are offered here and view *********************** still as a lifetime member.In none of the emails received by us from *** did he request or mention wanting to discuss a refund or questioning our policy on refunds. (Membership and Glider Storage is as listed on our website Thefloridaridge.com is $695 per year) *** has not paid the required storage fee in the past 8 years. We have however tried to sell his glider per his request several years now but because his glider is over 25 years of age in design, there has not been any interest to purchase it, the forementioned glider was not purchased from us.
***'s accumulated storage fees to date are $5,560.00 and we have been gracious enough to not pursue them as an effort to support one of our members going through a difficult time.
As a member *** has not been denied any of our services that come with a lifetime membership, we sympathize with his personal situations and lack of transportation but those services are not something we provide or have control over.
At this time we do not feel that a refund is due or warranted.
